Why is Jim Chaivezl podcast taken down ???? I caught a few shorts of it and it was one of the only podcasts of Shawn's that I haven't seen. Ty for your education on mental health? I have been struggling for years in Canada. Just struggling to get help ... Not being able to afford therapy. I have found Jesus and God, 🙏 I am letting Jesus and God help me with my mental health instead of pills... God bless you both... Ty so much for your service and sacrifices you have made in your lives...❤❤❤. The world appreciates you all ...

I’m 100% sure this is why the British establishment have bound him up so tight.
They all wanted his to be kept anonymous and they wanted to take responsibility for his actions. Pretending to be the ones who were actually responsible for the rescue. Thanks to them and nobody else, they sent in some un-named member of the SAS. Someone who will stay anonymous, but for whom they personally will be happy taking all the credit for, and shaking all the hands of the leaders of thankful nations.

As a Brit and ex-British Soldier. This whole story pisses me right off to the highest order.
To be clear, nothing at all negative about Christian Craighead, he is 100% a hero and deserves the highest recognition and accolades for his actions that day. The fact that he was so well received by the American diplomats and even POTUS warms my heart.
What pisses me off to the heights of everything, is how he has been treated by the British establishment.
This to me comes down to pure jealousy! Nothing more.
I imagine the only reason it pisses off senior member of the MOD and Military is that they can’t claim that they personally sent him in. As I’m sure it’s actually them that wanted all this attention, they wanted to be the ones having their hands shook by the President of the United States and they wanted to be special guests of the Ambassador to the UK.
They wanted to take control of this situation, after the fact of course, and they wanted people the praise them, calling them the hero for sending in a sledgehammer, whom I’m sure that they would have never ever mentioned the name of Christian Craighead, instead saying it’s an Un-named soldier that must stay un-named for national security reasons.
This is the type of shit you see from senior member of the MOD and politicians.
The SAS are a staple in British society, we very rarely hear anything about their heroics until years later, and even then, very rarely hear of the people involved directly. Instead, we hear from State Department officials pretending to be the men responsible, even though we all know full well, that they are all most likely much too afraid to even kill a spider that has invaded their bathroom, never mind, a fully armed element of Al-Shabaab, a highly trained and motivated, well armed terrorists, wearing S-Vests who are willing to kill themselves while taking out a hotel full of foreign visitors.
This is the real reason this poor dude is going through hell here.
Cowards wanting credit for the actions of hero’s.
I’m so glad he moved to the States.
May God bless Christian Craighead, and God bless all the members of the SAS and Security forces as a whole.
I hope Karma comes back to bite all those assholes standing in his way.
They don’t deserve to kiss the bottom of his dirty boots.
All this could have been avoided had they swallowed their undeserved pride and shook his hand and congratulated him for saving British lives, along with all the other foreign visitors.

Christian, your comment that you never let an argument go unresolved, hits home for me. My high school girlfriend and I had a fight while I was 8 months into my enlistment. She was killed in a car wreck the following weekend. I carried guilt for years that the last words she heard from me was in anger. About three years later I dreamed of her, we where having coffee at a cafe and I said how sorry I was. She said that she had forgave me and that I could let the guilt go. To this day I believe her spirit met me to allow me to grow and learn. It was a lesson that I try to follow through with today.

He got an MBE. Can’t get much more recognition than a Nobel Prize. :-)
People talk about being proud that he’s British, or the UK & America being proud. It’s really without borders, physical or mental.
Because Chris is an extraordinary HUMAN BEING. Chris did what he did, without hesitation, knowing he could die. That is REALLY what a hero is-people think they are sportsmen & stars, but this man personified it.
I thank the Universe for giving this man to be a role model to our children of the world.
I just got to the “rough justice” part & it’s harsh. I would want to pass some sort of judgement. Rather, my brain tells me to-that I should. But I can’t. Because like him, these are all the events who made him the person who he is. The person who is a hero.
He is honest and modest and himself. A person to be admired. We never know our purpose in life or why things happen. This possibly gives a reason. Preparation for the future.

I think about this all the time. If you’re over a certain age you were probably told not to ask vets about their experiences….and heck it seemed like they didn’t want to talk. But it’s sad thinking about how many stoic men from WW2 or even Vietnam are dying off and they are taking their stories with them. And from a certain perspective those stories are American history and that’s ultimately what Shawn is respectfully prying out of them
But after watching 100+ hours of his show I’m starting to wonder about the stoic men in my life who passed on…..cause some of these guys are just as stoic but on some level it seems like them sharing is almost therapeutic. Ti just get it out one good time
In a nutshell it makes me want to reach out to a guy I know. We have a great relationship but he’s never said much about his time spent operating

You did your job perfectly and saved a lot of lives. This interview was absolutely amazing for me. My huge takeaway was that Chris would burst into tears completely spontaneously for some time after his heroic rescue in Nairobi. I went to Vietnam in 1967 and for several years after returning I would burst into tears with no provocation. @@Discrete222 I have watched several hours of interviews on multiple podcasts with him and done some internet research on him because his story is so incredible. He is a true badass and humble af. The only reason he’s on podcasts is because people have heard stories about him and wanted him on. He did not seek out any media attention. But what he did do was serve his country for decades doing one of the deadliest jobs and after retiring he performed one of the bravest acts this century saving countless lives mostly by himself. He also doesn’t spill the beans on much of his military training or military experience because he is a professional (refreshing considering a TON of Americans are now giving out every detail of their service just to make a name and some money). So no I haven’t met him, but with average intelligence and some effort you can get a great read on people. Maybe you need to watch some more of him to realize it’s not “how the internet portrays him” he’s a legit badass. What does that even mean anyways, dudes been on only a few podcasts hahah the internet isn’t trying to do anything with this guy.

Then the real Christian peeks his head out as he looks directly into the camera and says, “the last time I FUCKING checked…the motto of 22SAS is….who dares, wins. NOT …who asks for permission wins. People need to remember that.”

I love how he just lets them go also........
He knows when to guide them back on topic, but can just let them go ....
He makes sure the interview is about them and not him

I am a Veteran and your show has hit home so much. This was an amazing show, thank you for interviewing Christian. I am so proud of hearing of someone that acted on conviction to save and help others. I have a son who wants to go into the military and he has the same standard to protect others. I wanted to say that media and culture has be emasculating men and boy for so long. Protecting and saving others is a core value of men. It's hard to hear that the military is being steered by political parties. You are amazing Christian! Thank you sharing! Thank you Shawn for interviewing him.

Christian after watching this episode I feel like your calling is to teach people to stand up to bullying. You can’t physically help everyone from bullies but you can teach them how, and raise awareness. Think things like speaking in public schools, going to abuse clinics, etc. hope this helps you find your way.
