@@luansomething380 pikachu is not mainly about the combos. Although nair loops will significantly improve your chances of winning, pika has many other outstanding tools.
Ok here’s one to start you off. Map jump to R and do control stick right, a, and R all at the same time. Just keep doing it across the whole stage.
I promise it’s easy, you’ll pick it up quickly. Try bair too!

I find it sort of frustrating having to spend weeks to learn this complex combo to do 70% just to have kazuya randomly kick me twice and do same damage.
As a Terry main, I've learned that it's not the damage output that matters as much as it is overall control off of that damage. Kazuya hits crazy hard but struggles to maintain advantage state, and you're pretty much garunteed the stock if he's in disadvantage state. A decent combo is way more advantageous over a few strong hitting moves.

When I play as Pika, I always try to be caring and generous and share a bowl of my favorite cereal with the opponent. Sadly, I can never get them to stick around after about two spoonfuls. Thanks to this, I can ensure that everybody gets to have the full experience of a nice fresh bowl of Pika Loops.

@@spiralanimations7736 you have to get comfortable with going off the ledge and edgeguard. If the enemy is offstage its much easier for pikachu to kill. It doesnt have to be something crazy. Often a simple fair or bair is enough

OO I JUST DID 1 LOOP now i have to do like 4 more in a row a few times to get comfortable now and uhh
EDIT: I DID 3 LOOP I did the down throw twice in a row and then one up tilt one
Edit (again): i did it for what i think is 60% in training although i only did it on half speed setting and the cpu was just standing there it looked like it worked though

Up tilts into most things are great and Pikachu is the only character I know of that can drag characters down into a grab combo/reset.
If you’re struggling like I was to practice this, set training to a set %. Find where characters struggle to loop into the combo.

I dont know whats wrong with me, i dont mind practicing to get better, in smash 4 i was able to do mewtwo footstool jump disable consistently but this is ridiculous, i have been trying for hours and hours, following every advice you guys give, and nothing, not a single time. I give up

King Estefan Just flick downwards on your joystick at the peak of your aerial’s height. It’s easy to get down with a little practice.

Oh, the missing ingredient was short hop > beat > nair instead of the short hop+nair shortcut. Now my friends will truly know pain.

ya it's hard to get the timing you have to wait a split second before short hopping, it's like a beat to a song/ rhythm

Do you short hop with X/Y or the joystick when you get to the up tilt? I can use x/y for the grab part of the loop but when up tilt comes in can't get it in time.

ESAM I'm not very good at doing shorthop by just pressing one jump button, usually I shorthop by pressing 2 jump buttons at once(x and y) but this is kind of hard to do on GameCube controllers because of the button placement. I can do this on joycons and pro controller but I prefer to play on GameCube. Any ideas or tips to get better at shorthops besides pressing x and y at the same time? It's just really hard to do on GameCube because I have large hands/fingers

can't pika use up air out of shield to punish cross-ups. It doesn't seem to work on smaller characters and others who pancake, but on tall characters it may work.

Pika is the best character in the game at punishing crossups OoS. Bair is broken, uair is also amazing because even if you're too late, you can often land with a nair immediately afterwards. Of course, Pika's rising uair on block isn't safe against most characters, but the shield stun and FAF are both low, making it difficult to react to.
I can't drag them down with the nair. I can hit it and fast drop when i don't make contact. But when I make contact with it I float in the air?
Dejaun Smith Dont try to fast fall as soon as you start the nair. About halfway through the nair then fast fall. Took me about 30 tries but finally got the nair fast fall once, and now its happening alot more often.
I Always mess Up my shorthop. Pressing a and jump at The Same time Always does a shorthop Nair, but sadly that doesnt Work for combos. What can i do?

Pika bout to be nerfed. Nintendo basically nerfs the best character in the game even if they are fair.
Can someone tell me what buttons to push to do this combo? I'm like the newest player and saw insane videos of Pikachu so I want to main him... Luca Heinrich After you grab the opponent you have to short hop: you can short hop by lightly and quickly pressing the jump button. The easier way to get consistent short hops its press both jump buttons at the same time, and that way you’ll short hop easier. After you short hop, wait a little and press the attack button (not B) in neutral (so that means without having the ming the moving stick at all). There are four hits; after the second hit on neutral air (the attack you just did) quickly push the moving stick down to fast fall. That’s basically it, it’s hard to get at first but with practice you will get an eye for what works and what doesn’t and you’ll be able to tell when to do the moves! Keep practicing!
Watch this loop get nerfed in the next patch.😞 Anyway, you make this look so easy, lol. I've been practicing this combo for the fun of it and only managed to get 3 loops so far.
It is absolutely brutal trying to get this down and not fumble your fingers around while doing the mental gymnastics for the sequence that make up this excellent combo...but it is possible... So we try. XD You've got this dude. I've been working my ass off on this for months now and I still don't ever get it quite right most of the time.
@@williambebeau1506 Ah, okay lol. I figured out how it's done, it's definitely all about timing! And even if I do manage to master this combo loop, I'll hardly ever use it during a match, especially online, where lag will screw me up and I'll end up looking stupid attempting it.😅
@@SegaDisneyUniverse bwahahaha Everytime I start up quickplay I think to myself, "Okay...it's Nair loop time, I'm going to embarrass the hell out of myself and just continually practice Nair loops on these people until I manage to get it right" (I've got a fairly strong connection, so a good chunk of the time things are more often than not things are pretty up to speed.) Then I try once or twice, they immediately DI out, I stop doing that, then feel the need to school them up with the rest of my Pika power. XD

I have tried many times and im still having troubles. I have tried fastfalling on different hits of the nair but I found like you said it worked with the third hit of the nair but I can't seem to fastfall sometimes.

How do you train getting the drag down? Even in 1/4 speed it seems it's impossible to get 3 hits. I can get 1 sometimes, I got 2 hits once if I go to the side more and pull it out really late(probably too late) and even if I start really late i most of the times hit 4 times with Nair.

Ugh. It doesn't seem to let me fast fall after nairing. Even if I wait for a bit first, I only ever seem to get the fast fall after the third or fourth hit, even when mashing the down-button. Any tips?

A few questions
-Does hitting your opponent with the back of up tilt make the combo more consistent or can you do it either way and be consistent?
-What is the best way to emulate realistic DI in training mode?
Either way works, you should be just fine against most characters (I've never had issues). As for DI you can turn shuffling on which helps a bit but you can't simulate the CPU to do DI that I'm aware of, though you can probably just have a friend help you, play online, or use a second remote and do your best to make it work.

I’m having a hard time trapping Terry in this combo, I feel like his tumble animation is wacked out compared to others, where I can somewhat consistently get other characters in this loop. My friend has Terry as a secondary, so this is kinda essential for me to learn if I’m playing Pikachu against him. I’m also having trouble with the up-tilt nair after the grab loops.

I don’t get how you’re supposed to get the combo starters at 0 to work. The Reverse up air one is easy but the bair and fair into weak up air into nair is driving me crazy. Either I don’t hit them with the up air at all or they go too far for the nair to confirm (even though I’m hitting with the weak hit of up air, cause I see the difference between the strong and weak hits of uair) The loop itself is pretty easy it’s this part that’s frustrating.
