    Alumni Tamar Hofer (M.A. '06) and Karen Kerem (M.A. '06) present Your Career Brand: Developing Your Career Persona through Social Media and in Person. The presentation takes you through exercises and shares tips with you to tackle your online presence and create meaningful networking opportunities.
    Tamar is the Director of Career Placement within the IEOR department at Columbia. She specializes in working with our graduate students within the M.S. in Financial Engineering program and collaborating with employers within Financial Services. Before joining the IEOR department at Columbia, Tamar worked in human resources in a variety of industries, including investment banking where she served as the project manager for an annual global employee satisfaction and engagement survey as well as other strategic HR programs and initiatives. Tamar received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Brandeis University and is a proud CU alumna, having received her Master of Arts in Social-Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and then went onto receive her PhD in Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University. Tamar conducted her doctoral research on recruitment and social media.
    Karen Kerem is a career coach and change management consultant in Silicon Valley. She received her MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and her BA in Psychology and International Studies from SUNY Binghamton University. Karen works with her clients to develop their interpersonal business skills and create action plans to secure a job. Before working as an independent consultant, Karen worked at a variety of companies, including PepsiCo, Martha Stewart Living and Sony Music Entertainment.
