I recently picked this up with silver sunburst dial, beautiful to look at and finish is exquisite, but you're right Tim the setting screw for the strap set is an annoying quirk, however I've found that I can leave the screw out and the buckle still holds very well with just the pin so that I can switch holes easily as my wrist swells and shrinks. Thanks for another great review.
@I yeah what you named about glashutte is all true. But Rolex has some things going for them as well .. mother of pearl dials .. diamonds with the cut better than the patek ( the blancpain creater said it himself ) than we have some good green and blue dials... antimagentic movments ( by glashutte only the 36 calibre is magnetic everything else is not ) .. than this movment ( from the video ) is thicker than the Daytona ... Rolex has the best claps and the most durable and reliable movments in the hole watch making. So ... they are both amazing producers with Rolex products being a little bit better in my humble opinion. But what I've ment is Rolex just like glashutte has some good and new movements, almost all parts are produced inhouse and are both very good quality products for the money you pay .. perhaps the best in the business .. so to other the person question Rolex is the swiss alternative to glashutte.. jlc and IWC are bad inhouse movments or ETA movments .. omega doesn't have the class and detailing going on ( same with breitling ) and breguet and blancpain focus mainly on a dress and have a bit higher asking price for something good. So we are left only with Rolex.. and let's be honest Rolex is the best from swiss affordable matchmaking and glashutte is the best from the German afforded high horology.
@@sergeyzerkin8029 JLC bad inhouse movements? I don't know where you got that from, because JLC has one of the best inhouse movements. It is not for nothing that they have also made movements for Rolex, Patek etc. IWC does not have any interesting in-house movements, but you cannot compare JLC with IWC, not even with Rolex!
@@jeremybodeker9841 +1, and my next watch will either be a senator chrono xl or a master control chrono. Both JLC and Glashutte punch way above their weight and attract similar audiences imo.
that style of watch reminds me of the seventies when watches went quartz, it just looks cheap. love the glashutte sixties though, would have that than a master glc
Thanks for this review, Tim. I put in an order for the fab green version. I never thought I'd own a chronograph. I suppose this one spoke to me.
Not the standard Glashutte design that it is known for.... but strangely .... I like it! Have those old skool style.
Awesome reviews from Tim....

Viewed this model today an usual but nice piece it grows on you when you actually try one on.
I love this watch, but have been concerned about the thickness. I think you've convinced me it works!
This is one of my grail watches
It's a knock out watch, prefer the blue dial and stainless braclet...nice flow.
Great review Tim, I love this watch....cheers
Feel the white one is better looking and easy to match. What do you think?
Hi Tim! What is the Swiss brand most similar to Glashutte Original?
Thanks.
Similar ?
I would say Rolex... both conservative...

Great watch - it would look nice on a mesh bracelet
good luck fitting one with the proprietary lugs
rather, solid end link
Woooo!

Hence the name seventies. Proper design then.
Too big in my opinion for your wrist Tim
