Surprised there aren't boosters in this box! I figured there would be at least 2, to go with each of the pre-con decks. At least we get new custom puzzle pieces :)
I wish there were some booster packs as well. But, in general, the starter decks that comes with this set is very well balanced against Ursula so far (at least in the Normal difficulty). And we are glad that you like the custom puzzle pieces. ^^

As far as we know, all of the player's card can be used in any competitve play, as they hold the exact same effects and abilities. The only difference is on the alternative art. It is the same idea of using an Enchanted card in a tournament, for example. But, have in mind that URSULA'S DECK (with the gold backing) cannot be used outside of Illumineer's Quest.
Well, you’re paying for Ursula’s deck which is “game” itself. Plus, the cold foil cards in the starters alone are worth plenty if you were to sell. But we picked up for MRSP ($65 CAD), so it feels right for the cost. I definitely wouldn’t pay above that, especially since it’ll be hitting big box retailers next week.

So how good are the pre made decks are they like yugioh structure deck level?
Better than a normal starter deck?
We’ve never played Yugioh, so it’s hard for us to say. But they’re definitely a step above the regular starter decks.

Nope! They’re unique decks specifically for Deep Trouble. But they are “legal” decks so you could use them outside of this too
