Here’s how Waymo behaves when I do things I shouldn’t be doing: - Pressing the volume button to turn off the power is ignored. - Adjusting the volume knob only affects the audio system for a few milliseconds before the last set volume overrides. - Buttons below the climate controls don’t do anything. - Touching any button, including the power button and gear shifter buttons, triggers a message saying “driver controls touched, calling rider support.” An agent reviews the notification and may pull the car over if it’s your first time. Continued blocking will terminate your account. - Playing a loud police siren video with flashing lights on your phone and putting it near the vehicle module slows it down to about 20 mph, as the agent can’t see it but can hear it. - After exiting Waymo, blocking it from going is amusing. It tries to go around you, slowing down if you move even slightly. It becomes more aggressive after each attempt. It was awesome when it backed up to get away from me.
Step 1: Force the Waymo to stop. Step 2: Put a bucket in front of the hood. Step 3: Put a second bucket behind it. Step 4: Take a seat at the sidewalk and enjoy.
Guy at 9:07 explaining how waymo works in japanese :D
I’m only at 9 minutes into the video, but SERIOUSLY IMPRESSIVE DRIVING!!!

You put the windows down like I do! (I don’t think I can take credit for this because it was filmed before I made my last comment about it.)
That car would have a hard time in NY. It would be waiting most of the time.
Interesting that is has similar long distance tentacle plans to Tesla and that they are nonsensical
Pretty much like a human driver, though I was disappointed when Waymo gave up on that left turn....
