😃👍Thank you Francis. This is an exceptionally thorough lifecycle guide to growing and maintaining Tree Tomatoes. I have a couple of trees and harvest with reasonable success. And I am old enough to remember the original Anglo name before the New Zealanders began marketing them as Tamarillo. Whatever name, they are a wonderful fruit. I live South East of Melbourne, Australia. Unfortunately Bugweed Tree is considered an invasive species in the State of Victoria. Are you aware of or have tried any other hardy Solanum species that could be used as an alternative rootstock? Obviously with good soil borne disease resistance.
I find that dusting plants with diatomaceous earth is great for keeping the bugs under control. It appears that the diatomaceous earth even remains in the soil after being washed off and prevents bugs from staying there as well all without harming the plants or introducing pesticides.
Thank you for your help, That's good advice everyone need to be successful in tree tomatoes farming but can you help me to find out other name of mudakwa tree
Easy. I grew ~30 plants from one Tamarillo. Just take the seeds out of one, dry them on paper towel (or plastic) over a few days, and plant them in seedling trays. It really is quite simple.
Wow!! That is by far the most comprehensive guide to growing Tamarillo's I've seen.
Thank you very much and all the best to you!
Glad it was helpful!
Good advise, do you pay visits to farms? This what I require.
