Great video, Chris, I am not a fan of this category of fragrances but last week I bought Musk Rose by Arabian Oud (there is absolutely no oud in it :)) and I adore it. Plus, it comes in a spectacular box, too. I also followed your recommendation from a previous video and I got Black Jade by Lubin, and it is, indeed, a winner and a compliment-getter. So, thank you for all your input, you look incredible, Chris, and I am not just saying this, you truly get more gorgeous with every video! Your style is fabulous!😍 I find many middle eastern perfumes to be so long lasting. My husband put on rasasi qasamat the other day (yes he loves thay perfume) at 7 am and left, and I woke up at 8 and could smell it! Talk about sillage! And he is a 2 spray kind of guy.

I do also have Rare Tiffany and sometimes I love it, other times I’m not quite sure.. it definitely smells different to me than the way I usually hear it described 🤷🏻♀️ it’s very middle eastern smelling to me for sure tho, and I love the drydown 🥰

Middle Eastern fragrances is definitely a hit or miss with me as well🤩🤩. I finished Dirham Wardi within two months because it didn’t last on me but I wasn’t bothered😉😉. I bought Casablanca during Covid and I’m looking forward to wearing it this autumn😍😍. I love Afnan Rare Tiffany (finished bottle), Ornament and Ornament Purple, Modest Deux Pour Femme😍😍but I will be decluttering Her Highness Red🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. I’ve enjoyed this video👌👌.

I have discovered that I can’t wear Lattafa perfumes because of an acrid smell I get that my family can’t detect…I get the same thing with some Zara perfumes as well. It sounds like you may be special like me! I’ve been chatting with another TH-camr that gets the same affect from Lattafa perfumes. I think a lot of people love Lattafa perfumes literally because they don’t detect them the same way. I have Rasasi Qasamat Ebhar (from the same line as Rasana) and it is lovely. I’m very excited for your Amber perfume. I love Amber!!

Opulent Musk layered with a vanilla body spray or BR540 is amazing. Opulent Musk is best layered with a sweet/fresh fragrance no more than 1 or 2 sprays - it adds a niche quality to perfumes.

Borouj Modernity was my first blind buy. Talk about a wonderful surprise. It was also my entry to Arab fragrances. Fantastic and lasts forever.

I got Borouj Gravity about a year ago, and to my nose it smells like a really strong, better performing Love Don't Be Shy with a slightly woody/oudy twist. My husband and daughter also get LBDS when I wear Gravity. It's really beautiful, I highly recommend.

You look gorgeous Chris ❤❤❤❤ Kayali, Afnan, Al Haramain, Armaf and Rasasi have some gems but there are some flaws too. There is a synthetic musk they use that really bothers my olfactory sense. Same with Montale and Mancera. So, no more blind buying for me.

Casablanca has become my signature fragrance. I was wearing Alien by Mugler or L'interdit by Givenchy. I've sat those aside for Casablanca. I get tons of compliments.
Jasmine wisp, stronger than casablanca. And very very long lasting. 12 hours plus on your skin,, and Spray on your clothes last days

I've pretty much given up on the standard Middle Eastern fragrances. My first purchase ended up being a dupe for L' Interdit. I was very ticked off. I did not need a Middle Eastern impression of Givenchy. It began to seem like most of them were dupes or used Western fragrances as inspiration. What I wanted was a genuine Middle Eastern fragrance. I found two houses that seemed to devise their own fragrances with a very oriental vibe -- Amouage and Alghabra. So those are Middle Eastern fragrances that I buy.
Yes I do think there is some truth to that which is another reason I’m not blind buying them anymore. I have king of Flowers by Alghabra and love it!

You gotta try Kalemat by Arabian Oud (if you have not already). It's the most captivating incensy amber! Other Middle Eastern fragrance superstars in my collection are La Femme Camelia by the The Fragrance Kitchen, Oud Aquilaria by Oman Luxury (guess what it is almost a dupe for!), and Widian Hili.

I haven't explored Middle Eastern fragrances yet. I have some fragrances with 'Middle Eastern' leaning notes if you count saffron, patchouli, some 'Westernized oud', lots of rose and amber notes. I think if people don't like oud then it would be hit and miss on this category of fragrance.

Hi Chris! I struggle with middle eastern style of perfumes as I prefer cleaner, quieter scents, but my husband has Dirham by Ard al Zaafaran (the green one) and it smells fantastic on him. We sampled a couple of Orientica which didn't work on my skin but were so amazing smelling radiating from him. I blame my fair skin, he is more olive

I've had the Sheik one in and out of my cart a multiple times, but there was something about it that just held me back. Now, you've helped me decide to bypass that one, thanks! I have a few Middle Eastern perfumes by Armaf and Ajmal. Do you know that there is a Yellowstone perfume?! Dirham Wardi and Bint Hooran are 2 of my absolute favorite. You are absolutely correct that Opulent Musk is polarizing. I hate it. The BR540 comparison is crazy. It’s a Musk and fur resin bomb!

Same! I basically love every category. Skanky ouds, strong synthetic Arabian musk is also a no for me. Everything else I love. Clean, woody, fruity floral and of course gourmand

I think this is the Rare Tiffany, I have it (unless there is Pure T in the exact bottle). If you're in UK I might sell mine as I'm 50/50 on it, I have too many other perfumes I enjoy more.

I know you talked about the other Quasamat/Rasasi buttttt oddly.... Rasasi Ebhar (I believe you have this) smells almost identicallllll to HoG Hufflepuff! I couldn't figure out what my Hufflepuff smelled like but I KNEW I had something like this! (I have the gorgeous Dapper version of Hufflepuff). I realized it's Ebhar!! It's SO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO similar!!!! Unless I'm just crazy!? There are some different notes (AKA the apple in Ebhar but it is SOOOO similar with some similar notes). I tried them side by side. Please try it! WOW.

I also got sharp vibe from lattafa qaeed in the beginning but trust me I just let it sit unused for 2 months. But the magic is, after 2 months the harsh opening has gone and I actually got more creamer cardamom and spices notes with smokey bakhoor agaroud notes which makes feel like you are in the Arab spice Souq(market)😂..
BTW,This also happened to my another lattafa perfume (oud mood)..which got more better and stronger with time. So, if you still have qaeed, you can try if there is any change in harshness..

Ishq Al Shuyukh Gold is FOUL. Right off the bat, allll I smell is alcohol, then the leather; and the sweetness from the tonka bean. I sprayed it last night on a test strip, woke up today and still, the main thing I smelled was the alcohol so it sent me into a major sneeze fit lol
Casablanca.. not gonna lie. I like it a lot, even tho I just opened it an hour ago. Tart apple caramel pie is what it smells like.
Khamrah hasn’t come in yet so idk how it smells
But I’ve seen a lot of people say that you need to open the new perfumes, spray them 1-2 times and then leave the bottle alone for a few months. I was hoping that this is true and that the Lattafa scents get better over time bc so far, I regret the purchases lol

Those you dislike actually smell more like true middle eastern in comparison. And FYI those you like also smell synthetic, so it’s more up to personal preferences
Hey Chris, I’m surprised you have a lot of these in your collection as they are some heavy hitters/loud beasts. Especially Gravity and Qaa’ed.

I did the same! The notes just sounded soooo good, the packaging so pretty on quite a few….but then I sprayed. 😭 Not exactly cheap smelling, just WAY TOO MUCH of everything.

Except for Rare Tiffany (and borouj that I never tried), I don't care for those. I blind bought many that you listed and sampled the others. The price is good but the juice not good enough to choose them among other better options in my collection. The cheap synthetic facets will always stop me from enjoying the overall experience. There are some cheapies that are worth it, Ajmal, Afnan, or even Lattafa sometimes surprises me. But Opulent Musc, Qaa'ed, Bint Hooran, Sheikh Al Shuyukh Lux, and even Casablanca are for me useless... I even tried to use them as room diffuser by taking of the sprayer and adding wood sticks but it is still unpleasant to my nose...
I would love to hear what are the REAL GEMS - ones that I would reach for over my niche perfumes. 10/10 frags

I struggle with ME perfumes - there is often something in the background that creeps up in the mid that is annoying especially with the Lattafas. Must be something in the DNA. I like Afnan Modest Deux.

I guess I’m in the few because I absolutely detest BK540… you smell it everywhere on everyone it seems and that is when a fragrance (IMO) loses its shine. My favs lately - BDK Gris Chanel and MFK Grand Soir. I’m also loving Lattafa Amethyst Al Oud , Lattafa Raghba and a few of Kayali
