Probably my Fave track of his.Have you heard the version on Georges LP "The Man with the Ulelele"SH126.The way he launches into the Uke Break is truly AWESOME!!
He didn't make it like Brain surgery like the people who "chase his sound with the pound " ,( buying a Gibson ,they sound etc , then Abbott monarch ,yet never pausing to actually play it or practice )GF style as much as it's been emulated by great players like Andy Eastwood , Randall before , ( Randall played more like Tessie O'Shea than GF, if you listen and you can spot on pm me , never *PLAYED A SPLIT STROKE*)will agree that you hardly could hear the uke during his vocal, but by God he delivered when it mattered , speed wise I'm sure "You don't need a license for that " was his fastest solo and a close second " I told my baby with the ukulele"( aka GFS practice piece ) ,irony is he didn't know he was a pioneer of the style
The man sitting in the chair on the right is my grandfather, Jack Daly.
