You would be the only person I would trust to do this!! You are so very knowledgeable and supportive by showing these videos. It greatly reduces my fears for having it done!.
I have done this... I worked closely with a NP who has her own clinic. I have pretty full lips naturally- but I was a smoker for a number of years (quit in 2017- yay!) and I think that from all the pursing, my lower lip started inverting & I was starting to lose my vermillion border on my upper lip. I regularly get Botox lip flips, but that doesn't address the lower lip at all. In the end, I got 1mL of Juvederm Ultra & then got another 0.5ml in just the lower lip, about 9mos later. I am SO happy with my lips- they were slightly larger than they originally were to start off, but within a couple months, they settled to look EXACTLY how they did around 20yrs ago (I'm 43) & I'm so grateful! I was really afraid that it would look unnatural but it turned out perfect!
Than you for sharing your story! Yes the lip flip would not address the lower lip so glad the filler was helpful and you got a bonus of in that they’re larger than they were before.
For sure! I had really nice full lips and started noticing loss of volume in my top lip over the last few years. Then I got attacked by a dog a year ago, and my bottom lip was hanging and my top lip was cut in half. A plastic surgeon was at emerge when I arrived and thankfully saved my lips. But, my side profile looks flat. My bottom lip has no volume and I have a bite mark scar on my chin. I would love to get some added volume to both the top and bottom. I also noticed my lips starting to turn down which wasn’t the case before the dog bite. Really want to get fillers and thanks to this video I know I do not need a lip flip too.
So sorry to hear that and thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry that happened. Sounds like lip filler can be beneficial to you, to help restore the lost volume to your lips from the trauma.
I would but at someone like you, who knows how to get natural results. I would never want to look unnatural. These results here are really great, look natural, that's what most of us are looking for.
I always learn so much from your videos! 😊 I always said that lip filler would be to aid in adding symmetry to my lips and hydration as a cherry on top for my self-care. I don’t see it happening for sometime but yes, it’s now on my list!
Yes, I should show this video to my husband. Maybe it will help him to understand. He's very angry with me right now because he likes the way I look naturally and thinks I look too different. I just had them done 3 days ago. They're just swollen. I keep telling him it's actually very subtle, but it will take 2 weeks to settle. We both have covud now and can't deal with him stressing me out. Can't wait to get my final results, just so he stops. He even went so far as to tell me I look like a monster to him now!!! It really doesn't look that bad!! I'm not even bruised, My top lip is just a bit to swollen.
@@monicastraub3372 Oh no so sorry to hear that. When I do patients lips, most of the swelling is gone after 48 hrs. Men tend to be really sensitive about their partners getting lip filler because a lot of ppl go too far and they just assume if their woman gets her lips done it will look obvious. Hope you recover fast
Sure lips change with age, but that doesn't mean anyone "needs" lip filler. Sure they might choose it, just as some people choose to dye their hair. But change can be wonderful and can be something we celebrate. Not everyone wants to look the same forever.
You are absolutely correct Rebecca and thank you for your comment. No one needs to do anything cosmetic, ever. I hope people do not take the title of this video literally. My channel is all about enhancing your natural beauty via cosmetic injections, peels, hair care etc. Therefore most of my audience want to do things to maintain their youthful look. Those who want to embrace change probably won’t find my channel of interest, but you are correct no one needs to do any cosmetic treatment. Sometimes we as TH-camrs have to go with bold titles. I may change it down the line.
Another great video. Thank you for helping me understand all the different things to look at as we age. Your videos help me understand all the changes I am seeing on me
Loved your before and afters. Your work is flawless. I would love the restoration; perhaps a consultation is in my future. I’m curious, Botox tried and true.. what are Volumma (sp?) & kybella used for? I know they are brands.. of what? Also, is hylorounic acid used on lips? Are there certain fillers that are not well recommended for lips? Thanks!
Thanks Deidre. Voluma is a filler that’s thicker and made for the cheek/midface region. Kybella targets fat in the submental area. If you look at the description of this video I share my favorite fillers for the lips. Yes hyaluronic acid should be used in the lips
Hi again! Great video as always! When it comes to enhancing the oral commissures, do you place the filler right at the level of the angle of the commissure or slightly above the angle of the commissure itself?
Emily, I love love love your videos! They’re so educational and enlightening!!! And HELLS YES!!! I would definitely get lip filler and restoration!!!! I just wish you were here in the Dallas are. Where do you Practice anyway?
Now that I'm aware of it I'll be on the lookout for it . To date I've always had big lips .and while they don't seem to be as big as I remember them I don't perceive it as a bad thing until I see visible signs that its messing with my facial integrity .
I totally would! I’ve had a lip filler enhancement a couple years ago but they were way overfilled and migrated so bad but I still think about getting it done again with like half a mil
@@NaturalInjector no they didn’t unfortunately and I was really uninformed going into it now there so much more information out there like your videos. I ended up with almost two syringes worth because the first needle actually snapped while injecting. I looked crazy.
@@hollykingston8984 snapped while injecting 😳. Ouch. Oh wow. Thank goodness there is a a wealth of knowledge on TH-cam about lip filler. Hope you subbed and turned on notifications 😊.
I love your videos even though I’m not someone who has done these treatments at this point. Question - what if I find someone who sounds knowledgeable, but I don’t like the way the work on their own face looks? Should that be a red flag that they might not give me advice I will be happy with?
I’n so glad you’re enjoying the videos! If someone is knowledgeable but you don’t think their lips or other areas of their face look natural looking that is a red flag. Not sure if you saw this video but it’s a must watch before you get lip filler 👉 th-cam.com/video/yFJnRyi_hi4/w-d-xo.html
It would definitely be beneficial to do a full face rejuvenation but in my opinion these women have enhanced their look after getting this treatment. I feel they look more attractive in their after photos.
So much to unpack here, Dr. Lips (I’m stealing that from your IG follower btw). First off, Steven Tyler is going to haunt you for this video. Secondly, how do you notice your Cupid’s Bow is deteriorating if it’s such a gradual process?
😂 I hope he won’t be mad. Doubt he will ever see this video. You can compare a photo of how your lips used to look and assess. Other than that yea it’s hard because it’s a very gradual process but some of my patients notice. Also sometimes I ask them if they have noticed a difference and they would not necessarily have realized until I suggest it.
You think so? I think her lips are a lot more plump than Taylor’s but I guess I can see a subtle, I mean very subtle resemblance in their eye shape, the eye shape Taylor had after her likely upper Blepharoplasty
Well if they look as good as this I would do it. But overall there are people that have such over the top filler it terrifies me to even consider filler
So this is why I hate watching your videos!!! (In a good way) you make some really good points. Lately I have been feeling it is the area around my lips that is impacting my pout… and frankly I’m getting a little too pouty if you get my downturned drift 😂😢… having said all of that I am terrified of migration and starting too early and eventually looking overdone if you will. Are there any other minimally invasive rejuvenating or resurfacing treatments out there that can restore volume to the corners and areas surrounding the lips? Thank you for your expert videos.
😂 I get that you have a love hate relationship with the videos. I would love to tell you that other treatments like lasers, devices, and microneedling will help restore the lost volume to your oral commissures and marionette lines but this is where filler will be ideal. At some point we can all benefit from lip filler and if you’re already noticing the changes it may be time.
In today’s world we know what the effects of aging are. If you can do something to restore the lost volume to your lips from aging, why not? Especially since it’s not invasive. The awesome thing is that we have a choice and some people choose not to do anything and some people choose to get filler to restore the volume to their lips.
