The problem with the canal near me (Leeds and Liverpool canal) is that the Canals & River Trust have installed a lot of those idiotic inverted V shape metal barriers, which prevent access for many mobility scooters onto the towpath. Hope that you didn't encounter any of those, but I guess that we'll see the towpath journey in your next video.
That gap left on the public footpath by the Flatbed truck driver may suit a single person, a slim Mob Scooter or cyclist , but does not allow for a Mother with a Double Buggy pushchair to pass and therefore making her go out onto a Main Road. It may be a convenient place to park for the construction workers but it is actually Illegal to park like that.

I know about those flippin inverted V barriers, they are of no use and are of a bad design.
