Personally I feel Like he treated maggie like shit right after she saved him for no reason...
Maggie mentally crippled Hershel with the hatred in her heart, she carried it and projected onto her Son, it's not a stretch to see him leaning into the dark side.
She even said she didn’t want her son to see that Negan or anybody else has that kind of hold over her and she’s allowing that to happen.

Personally, not really interested in a Hershel story. I could be swayed if this kid can act and the writing is good. The child focused stories make me worry it will be too much like FTWD or TWB.
The kid can definitely act...that was shown in season 1.
What if he becomes more of a bad guy and Negan turns him back good and they form a bond somewhat
Yeah, please don’t make Hershel like Chris in FTWD. I could not stand that kid 🤣
At least Chris got what he deserved, but if Hershel becomes like him, Hershel would become more unsufferable because TWD wouldn't have the balls to kill him off.

“ this is me now “ probe is finally coming back to the walking dead in kid characters. I can’t wait especially since that gimmick “ surely “ worked will during those Covid bottle episodes. The gimmick Dosent age well but sure, why not, let’s do it again 😂. I feel bad for Lauren, gonna be getting those stupid parenting dialogue moments when clearly she’s a 9 and I am here for it 😂.
It feels like their trying to age her more then she actually is.

personally.. i'm waiting to see who he has the most filming with - i could see him jetting off to join the damas army (ie. negans army).. which would certainly add a whole new layer to things.
dudes been sheltered for most of his life, and i could see him wanting to reckon with that by doing some strange shit like that.

good. lets hope hershel decides to pull the runner back to dead city.. that will get maggie back on the scene.. staying under negan's wing for a bit. negan will eventually be his new 'unky-dad' authority. (kind of..)
OR more likely?... he will run back to Bruegel the leader. we haven't met yet.. thats who he may have been staying with/under.

he wasn't JUST left with croat. for toe-torture-time - the whole time...
maggie's been leader of many failed communities. - he has seen them all fall. but this one is strong, and has lasted. even if it had been tribally divided.
he mighta been there long enough, to fall into step/be obedient to Bruegel now.

and brugal may not like the idea of falling in line under negan? - maybe he wanted that job?
hershel and ginny might go there to help brugal kill negan.. or. just to get close enough to kill negan themselves?

and we may see hershel and ginny learn this is not true.. the hard way.
hershel said he liked them. they didnt keep him living in constant 'glenn-negan-maggie' triangle. or living hard, on the road. "rolling in the dirt and mud for so long", eating bugs.
& being killed off.. but if negan goes there to be leader of leaders? hell no! hershel won't like that!
he inferred that, they didnt treat him 'differently'.
