Love the advice! So what I struggle with is the turnaround time in between clients. How long does it take you to sanitize, re-sheet the bed etc. Do you have enough tools where you don't have to wash most things in between and do it at the end of the day? I need to work on my timing in all of it. When you see the next client - do you simply confirm the treatment and take them right into the room? I've found I usually sit with them a few minutes and go over what we're about to do. Also, do you talk about aftercare instructions while they're on your treatment table or outside of the room?

What amount of time do u give yourself in between appointments? 10 minutes, 15? 20?? I just graduated and feel 10 isn’t long enough when clients need time to get dressed, closing the sale, rebooking and flipping your room. I feel I can manage my time well during a service but it’s the times I cannot control that is harder. Also do u give yourself a break and if yes for how long? Can u also do a video on what your full week looks like, how many appointments you book per day, when u take time to place supply orders and accounting, marketing, etc…. Thanks so much! Been following u from the beginning. In school we would have to do an “industry highlight” daily so when it was my turn I’d always share one of your videos!!! You’re the BEST!!!! 😊

My first job out of school was at Hand&Stone and we only had 5min between clients to clean up and Sanitize. At the time, i hated it, but looking back now it prepared me for my own business.
Thank you Kristen for keeping it real!

Horrible though, i leave 30m in between clients to properly clean, do up forms and off course sell. Its very important you leave time to sell to your customer

Great video! Thanks. Florida Dermal Institute, I just graduated 09/18/2021 ! I am in the process of opening my own shop. I had looked at a lot of schools, I learned so much, compared to all the other schools including Aveda school. I am changing careers at 60, They taught peels instead of just talking about it, it is an excellent option to traditional beauty courses. With your videos and a few others, all us new esthetician’s will be better than the rest. Thanks Kristen, your wonderful.❤️💐

So glad I found your channel! I've been an esthi for 5 years and am so ready to go solo... problem is I don't have a cushion of savings to begin, and I live in a slightly remote area (so client building will be my greatest challenge).
For now, I'm taking in all the learning that I can.
    Thank you!

I am 10 weeks into esthi school, like I’m in the part where I can take clients, and I was literally thinking about this. I’ve had trouble staying within my time 😭 I’ve been going over 5-10 minutes. This video helped me A LOT. I have yet had any instructor talk to us thoroughly about time management. Yeah they’ve said “time is money!” and “you wanna stay busy!”, But no advice on how to create that fluidity throughout the service into the next. I’m always so hard on myself when I see the clock, but I just get so “in the zone” and want my client to experience every bit that I can shove into a 60 min facial. Anyway, thank you for making this video. It really felt like I was a new hire on her first day getting the rundown by her manager/lead :)

Its not that hard, if you are late cut a little on everything, like doesnt make a difference if you do mask for 13 or 15m, or if you do extractions for 20 or 18.
