it depends on the model year. The first 5.0 V8s had ~140 hp and they peaked at ~230 hp for the late model Cobras. That's basically the same power levels Takumi was working with in his 86.
@@dudejo Even less power factor in the weight. Cobras is still an American muscle cars so it is very heavy. Although compared to modern day muscle Cobras is considered light. Nowadays muscle car weight over 4000lb for no reason
Sure, but 5.0 Mustang guys would spend a lot of money on speed parts back in the day. I think of how big the old Summit Racing catalogs were back in the 1990s. A huge chapter would just be for 5.0 Mustangs.

@@JonathonBartonWell a fox body with a stiffer coil spring setup and sway bars will have a faster rebound in cornering, so the excessive body throw is far faster and shorter than usual, especially with lateral forces, but in terms of the body being pushed forth and back from acceleration. it has little effect. eurobeat freebird actually slaps. what a crossover.
vid is perfect too. 👌
The McDonalds on the dash was a nice touch and made me laugh.
So Fucking good! I loved that car/camera movements :)
Each Country have a Initial D version xD
I would love to see a bunch of countries receive this kind of wonderful homage, especially seeing Death Metal paired with a Volvo 242 in Scandinavia.
That was super sick. Great job my guy you absolutely killed that.
you just KNOW he's got one of those little tree air fresheners hanging on the mirror in there.
I should've added that 😂
@@PROJECT33i think the animation is perfect as is! i'd love to see more of american initial d. i used to live in north carolina, black mountain specifically and the mountains were great for driving. i've never tried it though
Actually that would make a pretty solid analogue to the water cup.
A Little Tree with the Black Ice scent
these guys get it
This video goes directly to my favs. This video is perfect, even the sound of a coyote..... this is my favorite car and i love initial D.
Thank you so much
This is so clever. Loved it!🤓😁
if takumi got the foxbody mustang, itsuki would get the 2nd gen mustang, ryosuke would probably get a c4 corvette, and keisuke got the c5 corvette
wataru the mercury Capri, Bunta a GMC syclone
Itsuki would probably end up with the 2.3 foxbody coupé because he'd think it's the same car
Been waiting to see what was next on here for so long lol. Worth every second, yall got some above and beyond renders 👌
This is incredible. It is equal parts satire and homage at the same time and it's made with so much love and attention to detail that I'm losing my mind over here.
Love this, amazing work! Being from NC, I love it even more.
He's swirling his McDonald's sprite.
Amazing!!!! The NC Plates look real!!!
That was great. Using Asheville and a foxbody as the American Initial D. Just brilliant 🤣
I always wondered how good takumi would do in an foxboy mustang, but now seeing this makes me want to see him drift a s550 mustang
Now i am start imagining if the entire Initial D movie was taken pace in the US
I saw the thumbnail and really thought it was the ae86 but it's really a fox body that's sick! Loved this and looks amazing
alternate timeline where takumi is a drag racer instead of a drifter, and he has mastered the art of shifting and manages to beat built dragsters in his mostly stock foxbody. Sounds like a interesting timeline
Unlike the downhill where his corolla would dominate, drag racing requires heaps of power to match heaps of power. It wouldnt work.
yea ik, it was a joke comment obviously he wouldn't win, but in a fictional world who knows? maybe shifting really is the key@@dragonbutt
@@jasper39488 it isnt sadly. especially since automatics are faster anyways, even DCT automatics are stupid fast
@@jackmagnium6115 again ik, irl obviously a auto is much faster, heck even modern CVTs are catching up in performance. But like what happened in mf ghost, id like to think his shifting is just that stupidly fast in this universe that he's able to beat out faster cars like how in mf ghost he was able to beat out supercars in a 86 when in reality that's practically impossible
@@jasper39488 its much worse considering he is quite literally tearing up his body just to make a car better. instead of being smarter and just dumping the 4 banger for a better engine like a 1uz V8(which existed at the time of initial D and had been in production for almost 8 years)
nice work bro. i came across your animations a month back. and i think your work is so sick. keep it up
Appreciate it!
I lost it seeing the nug sauce slide away during that transition. 😂
Just means they have more practicing to do.
Bro you should partner up and make an American version of Initial D. This was amazing.
I'd be cool to see just a one off episode of this concept. Similar to that Spongbob fanmade Anime a few years ago
Immediate smile on my face. This is awesome!

Japan: Takumi is normal
America: Takumi having obesity
geez this stereotype is overused
@@lessronishere7540 Given the ratio of obese to non obese people in america and how fast its growing, its starting to not be just a stereotype and instead just be reality.
@@lessronishere7540 There's more overweight people in America than non-overweight people. Fact.
@@paulklp8262 Not true at all, Germany, Iceland, Luxembourg, Spain, island UK, Canada Australia and new Zealand all have obesity rates between 25-31% of the population. The US is 36, it's not substantially different.
Technically, Australia takes the cake for the most obese nation on earth. 5% is a pretty substantial difference though. @@SPAZTICCYTOPLASM
Finally a new vid
Never realized how well the 50 fox bodies fit that body style that’s amazing🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love this!! Used to own a 88' foxbody soft shell in maroon red!! Those 5.0 motors are really fun!!
Perfect car choice :>
Now that’s pretty sick! Love the Foxbody as a huge Mustang fan! Just so wonderful like what I wish for! ❤
now i want a german version. Amazing work!
This is one of my favorite videos of all time
i had no idea what kind of quality (by that i mean, it is very high) i was about to watch when i saw this thumbnail. just awesome. love the foxbody in place of an 86
This is criminally short.
fire video. subscribed, liked, commented, clicked the bell, shared it to my family, played it at my grandma's funeral (she was resurrected), this video cured my stage four terminal cancer, my depression, and fixed my unrelenting habit to call shitting while constipated a souls-like experience. cant wait to see more

How're you doing after the hurricane
@@HaydenPhipps kinda good other than no power
@@HaydenPhipps and I have a generator luckily
This would be amazing!! Great job!
This is quite possibly the best thing to ever be posted on the internet.
Drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, and lemme tell ya if this actually happened, it would be scary how well an American edit would match the Japanese version, BRP is practically a touge road of its own volition. What a good edit, and amazing job. Need to see an extended version with actual races, chases, close calls, and just raw driving!
There's a stretch of road in Maryland or Virginia that was absolutely wild. I believe it was Route 2... Man, it'd be perfect for a legendarily deadly touge course!

So many good roads in this area one of the reasons I moved to North Carolina
I thought it said:

Gotta be Wisconsin back roads. Especially with the Fuji Farms title. Our sunrises aint like no other
(I will give credit to Tenessee sunrises. Absolutely refreshing.)
As Minnesota driver I can confirm Wisconsin back roads are awesome for hooning
Out in Western Wisconsin? SE Wisconsin is rather flat and boring roads wise in my expirience
@stonksinspectors7949 I'm in Central Wisconsin. Lots of hills around here.
@@honeycombkole3185 Figures, up north and the west have some of the best roads I ever drove on. Shame SE Wisco is such a bore
@@stonksinspectors7949 That's where the floods and glaciers of past times carved out all the hills into flatlands. It makes sense.
What's funny about this is the fox body used to be considered a worthless shit box much like the AE86 was as well, until it became a culturally significant part of car culture.
I live right beside the parkway…. Well done.
