British knew how to make things correct, appropriate, respectable, pretty. Thank the British, they saved and liberated millions of souls in the far east.

Hong Kong people have no right to choose. The British had only two options: return Hong Kong to China or go to war. Deng Xiaoping was adamant that Hong Kong must be returned to China, and he instructed a large-scale military build-up outside Hong Kong. Delay or resist if the UK has an accident on handover day. The army will go straight into Hong Kong to kill all the British and even blow up Hong Kong to rubble.

I think Hong Kong would be better under the British administration. Currently, under the Chinese administration, free speech is slowly eroding. I don't think we need to wait until 2047 for the Basic Law to be eradicated.

+ Luu , what kind of freedom did you have under British rule ? During that 150 years , were any governors elected by Hong Kong people ? were you ever able to freely protest the British administration? I guess the only freedom you had is to bullshit about China.
All other previous British colonies fought hard to gain their freedom. I simply don't understand why there are so many people like you in HongKong missed so much about the period being controlled/managed by foreign colonists. Like it or not, the truth is Hongkong is completely useless without mainland China .

After China lost the opium wars, a treaty was signed saying that Hong Kong would be handed over peacefully in 1997. If the Chinese didn't do this, they'd get fucked.

Like Zimbabwe and south Africa and many evidences show that HK people are not suitable for administration of their own city. Beijing points a chief executive from mainland would be a better choice for Hong Kong.

Well African is completely different, with most of its population being uneducated and unlike in Hong Kong (95% of the people are educated) Hong Kong is far more richer in economy and intellectually superior than Zimbabwe or South Africa which is a mess rn. Bad comparison mate
