He wasn't saying that the BIG ten should get 4 automatic bids. He was saying that he feels that the BIG Ten is a good enough conference to put 4 teams into the playoffs without any automatic 4 bids. Everyone needs to calm down.
I think the Big Ten and SEC will each get 4-5 teams in every year. If they removed auto-bids for conference champs, they would probably get even more in.
