i am from belgium and here is target shooting almost unknown in the bow comunity here we shoot at a standing or laying whip (staande of liggende wip) is what they call it and it's a set of 3 rows with small targets and then on then a little higher 2 harder to shoot pins and then another set of two and the highest is the hardest to shoot and is the most priced plus this whole whip is 28to 34 meters up in the air so we actually shoot upwrds u should search it it's cald Boogschieten staandewip.

Just a comment or two about using your hunting bow in competitions: As far as World Archery sanctioned competitions for compound bows goes, several rules apply that would disqualify your bow.
Rule 11.2.1.1.
The peak draw weight shall not exceed 60 lbs.
Rule 11.3.
For athletes of both divisions (recurve and compound) the following equipment is not permitted:
11.3.1.
Any electronic or electrical device that can be attached to the athlete's equipment. (Sights?)
Rule 11.3.3.
Athlete equipment shall not include camouflage colours of any kind.
That last rule would also apply to clothing:
Rule 20.1.1.
No denim or jeans, regardless the colour, or camouflage clothes and equipment may be worn nor any oversize or baggy type pants or shorts.
But then, there are plenty of competitions that have nothing to do with World Archery, thankfully!
I used to shoot my hunting bow (Hoyt Ignite) for competition, I got second place in provincials, and the best 10 round I shot with it was a 281

Just wondering why you shoot a wrist strap release for hunting instead of a hand held release. I’ve always shot a wrist strap, but just picked up a wise choice and been messing around with it. We will see if it makes it into the woods this year.
I just enjoy the wrist strap, it's always ready to rock in the stand.

Hey just curious but what scope and sight are you using on your hunting bow and are you running a lens kit on your hunting sight?

Comparing my triax to my brothers rx1 I got to say rx1 feels like 60 on 70 and the triax feels like 70 on 70, but I like the constant and smoothness of the triax better don't know why but I don't mind the stiffness cause it is very smooth. Both bows are great imo but so far I am a little partial to Mathews. Also cause I am shooting VERY well with my triax and I don't even have any stabilizers yet.
RX1 definitely shoots more bullseyes.

Chris Bee the dealer told me just to buy both of them cause I couldn't make up my mind lol. But I think this weekend I am going to be setting up my sight tape and try 100y with the triax. Need new arrows anyways so if I lose some it's ok lol Also what is a "round or in" just 30 arrows, 3 at a time, at 20y? (New to archery)
A typical Vegas round is 30 arrows, 3 at a time at 20y.

Why is it that you use a wrist release for hunting? Is it easier to use in hunting situations than a thumb trigger?
Yeah, I enjoy using a trigger because it is always ready to go.

Nockturnal Helios. They are super easy to install and I mainly used them for videoing hunts, they show up the brightest.
