fun fact: no replica plane was used, Nolan just straight up drove a plane into a building for the effect. This one takes a lot of thought to really get everything, and then there's still more to get.
In my mind, the conversation between the Protagonist and Neil about the plane is a straight up copy of Nolan’s conversation with an exec, Nolan being Neil.
I think they filmed a straight forward fight scene to the corner of the hallway (choreography 1), then another (choreography 2) down the second hallway. One cut at the corner of hallway. Then play the one fight (choreography 1) film in reverse.
There's not much to say about this save for Christopher Nolan is a genius and-in my opinion-the greatest filmmaker of our era. Yes, I think he's better than Scorsese and Spielberg.
And when you think about it, he won the fight both times. When he wasn’t inverted he pinned him down and when he was inverted he surpassed himself and made it to the inverter. The choreographers and Nolan are true genius. One of the most underrated movies in a while.
This is one of those movies where Nolan stuck to the concept so fucking hard that it genuinely melts your brain trying to follow why and how things are working. For example, theres a 3d breakdown of the stalsk-12 battle on youtube and you can tell just how much effort was put into making sure that they were following their own rules for this movie. Basically, the more you try to understand how it works the more complex it gets but also thats why its so fascinating.

@@GamezGuru1 I think I still enjoy it because the storytelling is so strong it's sort of like Harry Potter vs. Tolkien... Primer has the hard world building, and Tenet is just good at making you feel things but worries more about the emotional narrative thread than the accuracy of the minutia
The music is the most notable part of it for me. So much style, adrenaline and some awesome synths, and to have it front and center and so very clear and audible in the film itself is great. It helps that the action and aesthetics are some of the strongest Nolan's done.
@@dolanduck9347 what's sick is how Oppenheimer is so prominently mentioned in this film as a parallel to the moral paradox of the algorithm. It almost makes the Oppenheimer film feel like a quasi-prequel or companion piece to Tenet
One of my favorite aspects is how there is so much implied additional story and worldbuilding that isn't depicted directly. You could easily do two or three more movies where the protagonist gets older, builds the agency, recruits and trains younger Neil, goes on more ops together, etc. Additionally, there is a ton of evidence that Neil is the woman's kid, after he grows up (Pattinson dyed his hair and speaks in a slightly more posh accent to match the look of the kid and the accent of the mother, and "Neil" could be the reverse of the last four letters of a less common spelling of Maximilien). Additionally, Michael Caine's character and Ives (bearded soldier, playing up a cockney accent like Caine's) might be the same person. Which would imply that all of these agents are just going back and forth in time all within this period of a few months. Which means all of the espionage and ops going down are just layers upon layers of the bad guys trying to change these series of event over and over and the good guys stopping them over and over. While I doubt Nolan will actually do some sequels (prequels? pre-sequels?!), out of all of his original movies, this is the one I'd love to see more of. John David Washington in a time inverting James Bond franchise needs to happen. Title might be weird though. What do you call it? 2Tenet2? Anyway, keep up the great stuff James. You're one of my favorite go to channels for a couple of years now. Love re-watching movies with you.
First time I saw it, one of the main thoughts I kept having was that no matter how well the movie was received, it introduces a concept that could spawn tons of other movies and tv shows that expound on the idea. Not necessarily prequels/sequels to Tenet, but just movies utilizing Time Inversion much the same way that we've seen countless movies about Time Travel in similar ways.
My favourite mind blowing moment is that during the last battle scene there are 4 Neil's existing at the same time. There is the one who is going to reverse his entropy to save the Protagonist and Ives; there is the one with normal entropy; one is driving a truck to save Ives and the Protagonist; and then there’s the one who’s already done that, and reversed his entropy again and who is now going to open the door that will be blocking Ives and the Protagonist’s way. The final Neil is in the opera house at the start of the film which takes place during the exact same time as the last battle wearing the same red ribbon. Mind blowing! If you want to go deeper, some people think the young son of the women is actually Neil too as a child before he grows up and inverts several times as an adult so that's 5 Neil's! 🤯
Love your reactions. Hope you are doing well. I was one of 4000 extras in the beginning opera scene. It was filmed in Estonia as was some of the Freeport scenes as well the car theft/chase stuff. It was so exciting to be a part of a phenomenal movie like this. (still haven't found myself in the crowd tho)
i’ll tell you watching this in an IMAX cinema was one of the best movie watching experiences i’ve ever had. The soundtrack still gives me chills. I Got the movie on blu-ray and after the third or fourth watch, i still caught and understood new things. Luv this
I watched this in theaters on release weekend. I'm glad Christopher Nolan insisted on a theatrical release despite the shutdowns. David Washington was great in this. He brings so much physicality while still being suave. (Very James Bondish). He does a lot of his own stuntwork and fight coreography, including learning how to fight backwards. There's some crazy BTS videos out there. This is a Nolan original. I'm pretty sure he writes all his movies. I think he was thinking about this concept since Memento. The dude is kinda crazy, including crashing a real plane into a real building. This movie is great on rewatches. Lots of theories going around, including (my favorite) Neil being the kid.
One of my favorite aspects of this movie is how often the protagonists are moving against the flow of the scene even when they aren’t inverted. The reverse bungee jump, walking against the crowd in the airport, driving the wrong way in traffic, etc. It keeps your mind in the right space even when time shenanigans aren’t happening onscreen.
And when the protagonist jumps up onto the firetruck and then backs into position kneeling down. It looks shockingly like he’s moving backwards in time.
Someone made a video essay on YT about Tenet and in it he suggests that Nolan is so accomplished as a director he sets a challenge for himself by doing what you are not supposed to do. In the case of Tenet that would be creating a main character without intrinsic motivation or story arch. We only know about him through what he does in the story and he is such a blank slate he doesn't even have a name but is simply credited as The Protagonist. It's an interesting take.
I’m so glad you finally got to see TENET I’m becoming a patron right away to see the full reaction. I’ve seen it around 14 times now every time with people who hadn’t seen it before their reactions love it. I had high hopes seeing this movie for the first time and until around 50% I was kinda disappointed but then the highway scene started and it blew my mind and continued to do so right till the end. My favorite Christopher Nolan film. And one of my favorites in general.
I love that you pointed out the color grading at 4:17!! That’s something that’s stuck with me after watching this movie at least a dozen times. Even after analyzing it for so long I’ve still tried to figure out why this choice was made, bc I personally love it.
This one's special for me. I first saw it on New Year's Eve with my mom. It ended around midnight and immediately after it ended we watched it again. Making it the last movie we saw in 2020 and the first in 2021. I LOVE this movie 🖤 (That ending gives me chills)
Kenneth Branaugh is such a damn good actor. Especially when he gets to play the bad guy. He really gets into the roles. Super intense. Can go from calm, controlled, quiet, to absolute rage and violence in an instant. Nolan just operates on an entirely different level from other mortals.
This movie is so freaking cool. Incredible visuals and soundtrack. It feels almost otherworldly. Whenever I watch one of Nolan's films I stop to appreciate the fact that I get to be alive in this day and age to experience things like this. Glad you enjoyed. I had fun re-experiencing the movie along with you.
Theory I heard about this film is that Kat's son is actually Niel who The Protagonist trains from a young age to travel back and save his life. Something about the last four letters of Maxamillien spells Neil (kind of a reach I know), but it is an interesting concept to play with when watching the movie. Explains some of why Niel would know so much ahead of time and why his scenes with Kat seem sorta more heart felt

I love this movie and my friend hates it so much. I legit think this film is actually pretty good. It’s a shame people think this film is a noisy, loud mess.
I think Nolan did a lot of subtle things with this movie that addressed some old criticisms. His movies have often been said to minimize female characters to serving the male characters and in this movie I think he flipped that whole narrative giving Kat a complete and full, complex arc while literally leaving the male lead nameless as simply "the protagonist." I think this was intentional.
I think the movie is honestly a total mess, to the point it made me reevaluate Nolan as a filmmaker. For a big box office movie, directed by a director of Nolan's esteem, it's shocking how ineptly made it is.

I finally saw this film last week while it was 1 month back in theaters and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Such an awesome film. Great music and visuals. And I love that the lead is a black man spy without that being its focus. He just, is. Chefs kiss 👌🏾
21:46 I'm impressed that you understood that so well on your first watch! That is exactly what it is like: they are both moving forward in their own frames of reference, but one will always seem to be going backwards from the other's perspective.
Enjoy the hell out of this movie. It takes a standard James Bond plot then grafts in the time inversion. Since most people know how a Bond plot works, there's more mental bandwidth to track the scifi element. Also: when he first meets Elizabeth Debicki, he's wearing the same type of suit as Bond in Goldfinger.
I've watched this movie 5 times so far, the small details they don't explain are even more insane when whats already in the film: The palindrome music, the Tenet Square being the focal point...Opera/Arepo, Sator/Rotas and Tenet being in the middle of that all palindromes. This film easily became my number 1 all time after the 3rd watch, my mind was being blown away when I started to look at the fine details a little more.

I haven't gone through all the comments but presume someone has already mentioned Tenet reads the same backwards (palindrome). The cast of Nolan's next film has been dripfed to us over the last few weeks and Robert Pattinson is returning. Title/subject ,as per normal, is shrouded in secrecy(as of 21 Dec '24) but I'm sure I read a tiny piece somewhere, which I can no longer find, that it's based in the 60s/70s and maybe loosely connected to a TV show/movie that came out around this time (was it The Prisoner? I'm not sure)
It is brilliant and absolutely consistent within it's insanity. I saw it last night and refreshed myself with your reaction video on TH-cam. You caught a lot more than I did, on first view. I did not follow it. but was impressed by the set pieces. It truly did hurt my eyes at times. The Highway chase driving backwards. the bullet holes undone. Birds landing, What a ride. It made a little more sense on second view, I suppose if I saw it a third time, I might catch the nuance. Beautifully shot and scored. Could you imagine editing it ? Crazy, Tenet makes perfect non sense. Like riding a roller coaster backwards. what a trip. My Father use to have a cute saying. He would ask, "Whats the difference between a duck?" His answer was, "One foot is both the same". In a Chris Nolan film it makes sense. lol

Since you asked...The boats they are racing are catamarans (I think, I'm not a boat guy) using hydrofoils. A hydrofoil is basically an underwater wing. It provides lift to the boat to lift the hull out of the water to reduce drag. So what you can't see is a large underwater wing lifting up the boat.
Tenet is one of my favorite movies. That is why I regularly check whether anyone has recorded their reaction to this film. This was my most awaited movie of 2020 and I remember the fear and the hype of going to a deserted cinema to watch it It was a magical experience and I really liked the movie. I hope everyone can enjoy it and appreciate it as I do.
I don't understand why this one was hated on. I liked it even more than Memento (another Chris Nolan Time thriller) Just because you don't understand doesn't mean you can't enjoy and appreciate. The cinematography and colorgrading alone made my spine tingle but the soundtrack and practical stunts and action set pieces really made me not think about the INVERSION too much and just enjoy the film forwhat it is. (I had to watch the movie 3 times and multiple TH-cam explanation vids to comprehend Tenet) once you finally get whats going on around the 3rd watch, it feels like the most satisfying math problem in the world and watching the movie in that light really makes you realize how crazy genius the script writers were(or they were probably on crack)
If you want a reason, the second half or arc of the movie is so obviously impacted by the Covid pandemic, the quality just drops tremendously. The temporal pincer scenes are not only incoherent narratively, but the buildings/ruins look straight out of a B-movie. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, but I think it's Nolan's most flawed film; though that might not be entirely his fault at the end of the day.

Love this film!! We went to see it in theaters twice - during a pandemic - because it is just that good. So glad we got the chance to see it on the big screen. Absolutely epic.
I really enjoy this movie, add to it having one of my favourite scores! 3:00 also had the same reaction in the theatre, I LOVE that shot with the bass just hitting you. Glad to see you enjoyed the film as well.
An' yeah, the performances're crazy good. Didn't realize 'til like 3/4 of the way through that was Kenneth Branagh as the villain. And he just perfectly exudes that monstrous villainy, not even just psychopathic but bordering on inhuman. You eventually realize what he's threatening to do, and what you see of his character up to that point makes you completely believe he'd do it too.
One of those movies where the first half I didn’t have a clue what was going on but was just amazed at every turn and then halfway through when the movie comes back to the same point in the first half I was like “oh I got this” and then after seeing it someone asked me to explain it and while I knew in my head what it was all about trying to explain it required me to go back and read the Wikipedia plot summary. Nolan’s a madman for making this, wished this did better in cinemas but ya know the pandemic didn’t help but it’s nice to see people appreciating this movie now two years later.
Love it. Feel like I understand everything like 95% but that missing 5% is what keeps it so intriguing even after the credits role. A lot of the details and logic are continually explained and explained well, but the questions pop up again when something about seeing those explanations play out doesn't quite line up like I thought it would. Extremely fascinating concept, heady, and the execution is just downright f'ing cool!

They have a predicted top speed of 52.2 knots (60mph), although the current record stands at 51.1 knots (58.9mph). The most recent race was a couple of weeks ago in my home city of Plymouth and the next race is in Copenhagen on 19th and 20th August.
This was the first film I saw when cinemas opened up again. It was quite a wild ride and I was able to discern immediately what the film was going for. It helps when you’ve seen enough Bond films to see what he is inspired by writing this one. Seen it about 4 times in IMAX now and my goodness it was worth it.
This is the highest of high-level concepts with Christopher Nolan and his technical ability behind the wheel. Combined with a grade A cast who gave stellar performances and you have one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made. It was unfortunate that it came out during covid. I did watch it at home with surround sound but would have loved to have seen it on the big screen.
Glad to see you enjoyed Tenet! I'm not super well versed in Christopher Nolan films, but I found this movie utterly captivating and wild to watch. I don't care how insane and unrealistic the hypothetical science is - it resulted in some bonkers-looking cinema, I was thoroughly entertained, and the concepts are really interesting! My mind boggles trying to think of how a Tenet video game would work.
This movie is my 4th favorite Nolan movie. Most people don't appreciate the story and the filmmaking. Thanks for reacting and appreciating the movie. BTW the airplane was real. They had put vehicle engines in an older scrapped unit. and They built a building so that it could crash into it.
While this isn't in my top 5 Nolan Films, I appreciated so much the ambition he had in making this film and there are so many great moments of cinema in this. Ludwig's score is also fantastic in this! I agree the pacing is done really well and made it a really fun ride both times I saw it. I have a feeling it will be one of those films that is looked back on better as time goes by
Ever since I was a kid and watched Doctor Who, I've always had a thing for time travel shows and films. I went to watch this film in IMAX completely blind, not even knowing it was to do with time travel and absolutely loved it. I love the idea that Nolan came up with here that people time travel MANUALLY by inverting themselves as opposed to just zapping from Point A to Point B. That's such an interesting concept.

Neil is definitely the boy. The boy's name is Max, short for Maxamillien. The last 4 letters of Maxamillien are LIEN, reverse that and you get NEIL.

Love your reactions. Hope you are doing well. I was one of 4000 extras in the beginning opera scene. It was filmed in Estonia as was some of the Freeport scenes as well the car theft/chase stuff. It was so exciting to be a part of a phenomenal movie like this. (still haven't found myself in the crowd tho)
i’ll tell you watching this in an IMAX cinema was one of the best movie watching experiences i’ve ever had. The soundtrack still gives me chills. I Got the movie on blu-ray and after the third or fourth watch, i still caught and understood new things. Luv this
I watched this in theaters on release weekend. I'm glad Christopher Nolan insisted on a theatrical release despite the shutdowns.
David Washington was great in this. He brings so much physicality while still being suave. (Very James Bondish). He does a lot of his own stuntwork and fight coreography, including learning how to fight backwards. There's some crazy BTS videos out there.
This is a Nolan original. I'm pretty sure he writes all his movies. I think he was thinking about this concept since Memento. The dude is kinda crazy, including crashing a real plane into a real building.
This movie is great on rewatches. Lots of theories going around, including (my favorite) Neil being the kid.
One of my favorite aspects of this movie is how often the protagonists are moving against the flow of the scene even when they aren’t inverted. The reverse bungee jump, walking against the crowd in the airport, driving the wrong way in traffic, etc. It keeps your mind in the right space even when time shenanigans aren’t happening onscreen.
And when the protagonist jumps up onto the firetruck and then backs into position kneeling down. It looks shockingly like he’s moving backwards in time.
Someone made a video essay on YT about Tenet and in it he suggests that Nolan is so accomplished as a director he sets a challenge for himself by doing what you are not supposed to do. In the case of Tenet that would be creating a main character without intrinsic motivation or story arch. We only know about him through what he does in the story and he is such a blank slate he doesn't even have a name but is simply credited as The Protagonist. It's an interesting take.
I’m so glad you finally got to see TENET I’m becoming a patron right away to see the full reaction. I’ve seen it around 14 times now every time with people who hadn’t seen it before their reactions love it. I had high hopes seeing this movie for the first time and until around 50% I was kinda disappointed but then the highway scene started and it blew my mind and continued to do so right till the end. My favorite Christopher Nolan film. And one of my favorites in general.
I love that you pointed out the color grading at 4:17!! That’s something that’s stuck with me after watching this movie at least a dozen times. Even after analyzing it for so long I’ve still tried to figure out why this choice was made, bc I personally love it.

This one's special for me. I first saw it on New Year's Eve with my mom. It ended around midnight and immediately after it ended we watched it again. Making it the last movie we saw in 2020 and the first in 2021. I LOVE this movie 🖤

Kenneth Branaugh is such a damn good actor. Especially when he gets to play the bad guy. He really gets into the roles. Super intense. Can go from calm, controlled, quiet, to absolute rage and violence in an instant. Nolan just operates on an entirely different level from other mortals.
This movie is so freaking cool. Incredible visuals and soundtrack. It feels almost otherworldly. Whenever I watch one of Nolan's films I stop to appreciate the fact that I get to be alive in this day and age to experience things like this. Glad you enjoyed. I had fun re-experiencing the movie along with you.

Theory I heard about this film is that Kat's son is actually Niel who The Protagonist trains from a young age to travel back and save his life. Something about the last four letters of Maxamillien spells Neil (kind of a reach I know), but it is an interesting concept to play with when watching the movie. Explains some of why Niel would know so much ahead of time and why his scenes with Kat seem sorta more heart felt

I love this movie and my friend hates it so much. I legit think this film is actually pretty good. It’s a shame people think this film is a noisy, loud mess.

I think Nolan did a lot of subtle things with this movie that addressed some old criticisms. His movies have often been said to minimize female characters to serving the male characters and in this movie I think he flipped that whole narrative giving Kat a complete and full, complex arc while literally leaving the male lead nameless as simply "the protagonist." I think this was intentional.
I think the movie is honestly a total mess, to the point it made me reevaluate Nolan as a filmmaker. For a big box office movie, directed by a director of Nolan's esteem, it's shocking how ineptly made it is.

Enjoy the hell out of this movie. It takes a standard James Bond plot then grafts in the time inversion. Since most people know how a Bond plot works, there's more mental bandwidth to track the scifi element. Also: when he first meets Elizabeth Debicki, he's wearing the same type of suit as Bond in Goldfinger.
I've watched this movie 5 times so far, the small details they don't explain are even more insane when whats already in the film:
The palindrome music, the Tenet Square being the focal point...Opera/Arepo, Sator/Rotas and Tenet being in the middle of that all palindromes. This film easily became my number 1 all time after the 3rd watch, my mind was being blown away when I started to look at the fine details a little more.
I love how everything gets tied together at the end, so mind boggling in the process but understanding in the end.

Firstly, congrats on editing this, posting it...and it's still here!.An extraordinary piece of filmmaking. I haven't gone through all the comments but presume someone has already mentioned Tenet reads the same backwards (palindrome). The cast of Nolan's next film has been dripfed to us over the last few weeks and Robert Pattinson is returning. Title/subject ,as per normal, is shrouded in secrecy(as of 21 Dec '24) but I'm sure I read a tiny piece somewhere, which I can no longer find, that it's based in the 60s/70s and maybe loosely connected to a TV show/movie that came out around this time (was it The Prisoner? I'm not sure)
Yeah I listen to this soundtrack almost every day. One of my favorite films of the 2020s so far one of the most imaginative sci-fis I’ve ever seen

It is brilliant and absolutely consistent within it's insanity. I saw it last night and refreshed myself with your reaction video on TH-cam. You caught a lot more than I did, on first view. I did not follow it. but was impressed by the set pieces. It truly did hurt my eyes at times. The Highway chase driving backwards. the bullet holes undone. Birds landing, What a ride. It made a little more sense on second view, I suppose if I saw it a third time, I might catch the nuance. Beautifully shot and scored. Could you imagine editing it ? Crazy, Tenet makes perfect non sense. Like riding a roller coaster backwards. what a trip. My Father use to have a cute saying. He would ask, "Whats the difference between a duck?" His answer was, "One foot is both the same". In a Chris Nolan film it makes sense. lol

Since you asked...The boats they are racing are catamarans (I think, I'm not a boat guy) using hydrofoils. A hydrofoil is basically an underwater wing. It provides lift to the boat to lift the hull out of the water to reduce drag. So what you can't see is a large underwater wing lifting up the boat.
Love this movie. You should rewatch it as fast as possible, it's a whole new experience when you've already beent here once. The loop continues

This is a very strange Sci Fi Action Adventure film from Christopher Nolan, where he gives us a more realistic approach to Time Travel.

I don't understand why this one was hated on. I liked it even more than Memento (another Chris Nolan Time thriller) Just because you don't understand doesn't mean you can't enjoy and appreciate. The cinematography and colorgrading alone made my spine tingle but the soundtrack and practical stunts and action set pieces really made me not think about the INVERSION too much and just enjoy the film forwhat it is. (I had to watch the movie 3 times and multiple TH-cam explanation vids to comprehend Tenet) once you finally get whats going on around the 3rd watch, it feels like the most satisfying math problem in the world and watching the movie in that light really makes you realize how crazy genius the script writers were(or they were probably on crack)
If you want a reason, the second half or arc of the movie is so obviously impacted by the Covid pandemic, the quality just drops tremendously. The temporal pincer scenes are not only incoherent narratively, but the buildings/ruins look straight out of a B-movie. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, but I think it's Nolan's most flawed film; though that might not be entirely his fault at the end of the day.

Love this film!! We went to see it in theaters twice - during a pandemic - because it is just that good. So glad we got the chance to see it on the big screen. Absolutely epic.

An' yeah, the performances're crazy good. Didn't realize 'til like 3/4 of the way through that was Kenneth Branagh as the villain. And he just perfectly exudes that monstrous villainy, not even just psychopathic but bordering on inhuman. You eventually realize what he's threatening to do, and what you see of his character up to that point makes you completely believe he'd do it too.
That building explosion at the minute 27:49 was literally my head watching this movie.
One of those movies where the first half I didn’t have a clue what was going on but was just amazed at every turn and then halfway through when the movie comes back to the same point in the first half I was like “oh I got this” and then after seeing it someone asked me to explain it and while I knew in my head what it was all about trying to explain it required me to go back and read the Wikipedia plot summary. Nolan’s a madman for making this, wished this did better in cinemas but ya know the pandemic didn’t help but it’s nice to see people appreciating this movie now two years later.

Love it. Feel like I understand everything like 95% but that missing 5% is what keeps it so intriguing even after the credits role. A lot of the details and logic are continually explained and explained well, but the questions pop up again when something about seeing those explanations play out doesn't quite line up like I thought it would.

The most recent race was a couple of weeks ago in my home city of Plymouth and the next race is in Copenhagen on 19th and 20th August.
This was the first film I saw when cinemas opened up again. It was quite a wild ride and I was able to discern immediately what the film was going for. It helps when you’ve seen enough Bond films to see what he is inspired by writing this one.

This is the highest of high-level concepts with Christopher Nolan and his technical ability behind the wheel. Combined with a grade A cast who gave stellar performances and you have one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made. It was unfortunate that it came out during covid. I did watch it at home with surround sound but would have loved to have seen it on the big screen.
I feel this movie is underrated. It definetly had its flaws, but the major action scenes are flawless and the general story is solid
I saw it 2x in the movie theatre when it came out. One of the best movie going experiences of my life. I even have a Sator square tattooed on my arm.

I don't care how insane and unrealistic the hypothetical science is - it resulted in some bonkers-looking cinema, I was thoroughly entertained, and the concepts are really interesting! My mind boggles trying to think of how a Tenet video game would work.
This movie is my 4th favorite Nolan movie. Most people don't appreciate the story and the filmmaking. Thanks for reacting and appreciating the movie. BTW the airplane was real. They had put vehicle engines in an older scrapped unit. and They built a building so that it could crash into it.
The plane crashing into the building was a fully practical effect.

While this isn't in my top 5 Nolan Films, I appreciated so much the ambition he had in making this film and there are so many great moments of cinema in this. Ludwig's score is also fantastic in this! I agree the pacing is done really well and made it a really fun ride both times I saw it. I have a feeling it will be one of those films that is looked back on better as time goes by
Ever since I was a kid and watched Doctor Who, I've always had a thing for time travel shows and films.
I went to watch this film in IMAX completely blind, not even knowing it was to do with time travel and absolutely loved it.
I love the idea that Nolan came up with here that people time travel MANUALLY by inverting themselves as opposed to just zapping from Point A to Point B. That's such an interesting concept.
Love the soundtrack to this movie.

And yes, that was a real plane.
I feel like when the scientist says "don't try to understand it, feel it" it is the most important line of the movie.
