Το Γύθειο είναι ιστορική κωμόπολη και λιμάνι, βρίσκεται στη νότια
Πελοπόννησο κοντά στις εκβολές του ποταμού Ευρώτα. Είναι χτισμένο
αμφιθεατρικά στους ανατολικούς πρόποδες του όρους Λαρύσιο και
αποτελεί το κυριότερο λιμάνι του Λακωνικού κόλπου και το δεύτερο της
νότιας Πελοποννήσου.
Η Αρεόπολη είναι χωριό της Ανατολικής Μάνης του νομού Λακωνίας της Πελοποννήσου. Είναι ιστορικός οικισμός, που διατήρησε την ανεξαρτησία του επί Τουρκοκρατίας, πατρίδα των Μαυρομιχαλέων. Αποτελεί έδρα του Δήμου Οιτύλου και έχει κριθεί διατηρητέος κρατώντας το παραδοσιακό χρώμα της Μάνης.
Gythio is a historic town and harbor, located in the southern Peloponnese
near the estuary of river Evrotas. It is built amphitheatrically on the eastern
foothills of Mount Laryssio and is the main port of the Laconian Gulf and the
second of the southern Peloponnese.
Areopoli is a village in the eastern Mani of the prefecture of Lakonia, Peloponnese. It is a historic settlement that preserved its independence during the Ottoman domination, and the homeland of the Mavromichalis family. It is the seat of the Municipality of Itilos and is characterized as to be preserved with keeping the traditional colors of Mani.
