Thank you for your great advice, Yes, for the big event like that it is always best to save up a lot of spending money. I am so glad you all had fun time.
You are so welcome! And agreed I’ll be saving more for next year!
@@Izzymeakin Not only can you buy things you missed this time, you can buy other things too.☺
Haha don't encourage me, but you know I will 😂😂
@@Izzymeakin of course, and have a great time!
Yay! Nice to see the haul in tow with the festival vlog ☺️🌻🌞 xx
So glad you liked it! Still had so much I wanted to share, so was keen to make another video 🤍
You have some really good advice for going to the Festival! My daughter and I went last year and had a wonderful time too. Coming from America, I will give a few tips. A great option for costumes, is to rent online from Bath Theatrical Costume. They set up a pop up shop to pickup your reserved costume & accessories. We gave them our measurements, picked a dress & it worked wonderfully. They have costumes for men too. We had our own dresses as well, but not having to pack an outfit was helpful. Don't forget to bring some underclothing. We had stays and slips and chemises. We should have had at least 2 chemises, we washed/dried them everynight. A white slip will do. Sometimes the dresses are sheer fabric and I don't think the wearer realized what everyone could see from the back while we were walking, lol. Also make sure you have a reticule (regency purse) large enough for your phone, bottle of water if it is hot. Carrying a basket would be another option. We brought several pairs of shoes. Flat leather boots for walking, and flat slippers for the balls. A spencer, shawl, Bonnet, fancy hair accessory, sash and costume jewelry can all change the look of an outfit. Parasols & fans are helpful for warm weather.
Some fabulous tips here thank you! I will be taking a basket next year, I forgot to mention that in the video but thought it was a fab idea 🤍
Definitely want the Pride and Prejudice collection video😊
Yessss! I’ll definitely do this, maybe in Jan as that’s when Pride & Prejudice day is 🤍
Loved this! Thankyou for sharing and yes please definitely interested in seeing your Pride & Prejudice collection 😊
You got it! I will make sure it’s on my list :)
Same ❤
I'm so glad you came into my feed! What a beautiful experience. 💖Thanks for sharing this haul of dreams💐! xx
You are so welcome! And I’m glad I came up on your feed too! X
Love the scrunchies and the sash! Missed both of those at the fair. There was just too much to look at!😅The Jane Austen game looked very intriguing. I was so tempted, but I was trying to save money too as I bought two bonnets at the market🙈😆
Oh my days haha! Two bonnets how exciting though 😱 love both those finds I think with the sash I also benefited that I had seen them before when Abbie and Sophie were getting things ready. I think that room is so overstimulating in the best kind of way you miss some of the smaller items 🤍
Thank you so much for your videos! I've gone from not even knowing about the Jane Austen festival to planning my trip for next year! I'm a little disappointed I missed out on this year's and have to wait a whole 12 months until the next one but at least I have a whole year to plan everything out and get sewing my own dress!
This is so exciting! Welcome to the love of a lifetime haha, sewing your own dress as well how wonderful 🤍
Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm considering going next year and this was really useful.
I'm looking forward to see your future videos, whether they're Austen related or not 😊
Glad it was helpful, I hope you do consider going! I will be there again next year 🤍 thank you!
I went to the Jane Austen centre back in 2015 and it wasn't that busy because the Jane Austen festival wasn't on.
Well that’s good to know!
I have the Persuasion version of Barbara Heller's letter book. You must fet tthat one. Ir has an interesting variety of things. Not just letters. Calling cards, musical program and a map in addition to other fun things. Wentworth's letter of course.
Wait what! This sounds amazing, I’ll have to get it 😱📖
I live half an hour north of bath. The weird thing is there isnt a bath , bristol /south glos austin club or fan group, to meet other local fans and go to these events with. Its odd considering we are on her doorstep!
That is strange and a shame! Maybe you could start one 😱
Generally what time of year do tickets go on sale? I’m on the mailing list but scared I might miss it. Don’t know yet if I’ll go though… it might have to be another year
Spring time is all it shows on the website at the moment, they will open to festival friends first (I don't know if you paid for that) and then open to public 🤍
