- 🎥 IN THIS EPISODE → Lake Lure, North Carolina, is a picturesque town nestled in the Blue Ridge Foothills, known for its stunning natural beauty and serene lake. The town offers a perfect escape, surrounded by expansive views and a cathedral of mountain cliffs. Chimney Rock Village, nestled in the Blue Ridge Foothills of Rutherford County, North Carolina, offers a quaint and authentic mountain experience. With a population of around 109 people, this tiny town provides a step back in time, featuring buildings dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. I love lemon pie 🥧 😋
Ohhhh.... we loved Lake Lure's Flowering Bridge when we visited 2 summers ago!!
We did Chimney Rock State Park in October. Absolutely beautiful area. We were pressed for time so we didn't get to do any shopping.
Would love to have that lemon pie recipe...it looks wonderful.
Let me ask Karen
Tell she can have my crust! Happy New Year to both of you...Safe Travels
Hi, send us an email and I'll send you the recipe: fridaysforever2@gmail.com
Great place thanks Mike and karen. Pie looks delicious
Mike and Karen, I'm so behind on your videos but, going to get the next 2 watched after I get off here. Thank you for taking me along with you on your travels to places I'll never get to see for myself! What a beautiful town and scenery and mountains and that 🌈 bridge! I really enjoyed your video. Love y'all and God Bless You!❤️❤️
Looks like a nice place to visit. Good times. 😊 God bless.
Been many years since I’ve been there. Back in 2005 me and my son walked the entire Chimney Rock park. That was a good father and son trip he was only 11yrs old
New subscriber 😊. I found your channel by accident. Hello from Tennessee. Love your videos ❤. Lake lure I think is beautiful early autumn 🍂
Welcome aboard!
We went to Chimney Rock but we didn’t want to pay that high entrance price and I have a fear of heights.
On the way up the hill with all those curves and back down again, our daughter and I was car sick.
We did stay to enjoy the shops however, I am sure some closed and reopened with a different kind of store.
I actually was going to scroll up because The Rainbow Bridge with all the beautiful colors of the collars , really got to me as my fur baby is 131/2 years old and has been sick.
I am certain you know how it feels. She is beside me now and I love her with all my heart.
Thanks for the journeys that I get see through your travels.
Love hometowns rather than big crowded cities.
Thanks for watching and take care of that furbaby.
Hi Mike and Karen!! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and hope you have a Blessed New Year!!! Hey, have you ever considered going up to New England? Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts has a BEAUTIFUL Flower bridge!!’ The Berkshires are so beautiful!!! There are sooo many neat places in New England!!! Just a thought to give you in case you really wanted to travel!!! Went there in July and it was REALLY awesome!! 💕💕💕
Y’all need to revisit this place in the spring.
Cute little town. I still don't know how ya'll find all of these towns with things to do in the towns or near by the towns, but keep up the good work. I'll be able to see all of them through your videos just in case I am not able to visit them in person. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!!!🎉🥳
The wife and I went there 2 summers ago. It's absolutely beautiful in the summer. We got to talk to the people who take care of the flowering bridge and they were super nice. The views up in Chimney Rock Park are breathtaking. I would also recommend taking the boat tour on Lake Lure to anyone going there. The views are great and it was really fun and interesting.
Thanks for sharing!
It's too bad the general store was closed. It was a really cool place.
Love the little fuzzy microphones
that was an awesome video never been there, and never heard of that place. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed it.
Our pleasure!
Really neat place! I wouldn’t pay that either… Thanks y’all ❤❤
Our pleasure!
Last time I went to Chimney Rock it was $5.00 each , no way I'd pay 17 just to see a rock which you can see better for free from the village
Very nice!
Thanks!
My grandfather's family is from Rutherfordton they had a cabin on a Mountain that was owned by his parents and this cabin was really cool at least it was me..
I used to go there when I was young it had a natural spring water pond and a waterfall it was so beautiful I remember being really young and my grandfather telling me and my sister not to jump in that water or swim in it because if we did it would freeze us but of course being young and being told no we definitely jumped into the pond 😂 I've never been that cold my grandfather got us out because we weren't able to move our legs so he had to come and save us and then he put us naked in front of the wood burning stove..
I touched my little butt cheeks to it and really burnt myself😂 I will always have that memory I really wished the mountain and the cabin was still in my family but unfortunately my grandfather trusted the wrong people my grandpa was so amazing so kind and so loving someone took advantage of him and he lost the family home and the mountain it was heartbreaking he loved it there so much they went through the Great Depression he would tell me old stories about the family and everything they went through he would talk about the Great Depression and if they didn't have a farm they wouldn't have made it they would have starved to death but thankfully they did have a farm with lots of vegetables..
I live in Crowders Mountain and I absolutely love it I've definitely been to Lake Lure which is so pretty y'all are there at a good time when there's no one around that's the best time to go me and my husband are going to probably go in January at
least..
I hope so most of the time we go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge or Maggie Valley and we rent a cabin we love your videos thanks for doing them and keep on sharing all of these videos with us it really is beautiful at Lake Lure...
Thank you for sharing all the memories with us.
Love these quaint little places!
Us too!
We visit the area every couple of years.it’s just an hour away. Thank y’all for sharing.
We know you live pretty close. Our pleasure
Happy New year ❤
Years ago, we met my Dad in Chimney rock. Your video brought back a flood of memories. I miss my Dad but your video reminded me of a great time we had with him. Thanks for good memories.
Time to plan a trip back to create new memories.

Happy new year!
I would love to see Lake Lure, it looked so peaceful. I bet it’s really hopping in the warm months.
Thank you for sharing
Wishing you and your family a great New Year from OH IO ❤
Thanks so much
❤ beautiful
Thank you! 😊
Last year summer 2022 went to Lake Lure for deaf/blind picnic. That’s great good time to Flowering Bridge, tour boat and picnic cookout. I love it and very first time. ❤
I never visit Chimney Rock yet. 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Okay when it comes to Rainbow Bridge what's weird is when your pet passes away and you have them cremated or something your vet will get you a urn and it literally says we'll meet again on the Rainbow Bridge which I guess makes sense because all of the dog collars their families must put them there when they pass away..
I'm sure they say that about dogs too not just cats but all of the animals we love and I will meet My Little Girl Over the Rainbow Bridge Someday ❤
Hey Friday Family! We love watching you two precious peeps!
Can you tell me who you had singing the Christmas song at the end of this video? She sang so beautifully, and we wanted to find out who she is and the song she sang! Oh and we love your Bike! That is so so cool! Love y’all!♥️❄️🌲☃️🎁
Thanks so much for watching. The song is Little Moments by GAMMA SKIES FEAT. CHRISTINE SMIT
Love seeing all the places around NC, my home state, but do y'all have any plans on going further west in 2024? Safe travels y'all!
Still working full time so it's hard to get to far away.
Lake looks real low from last time we were there it was full pool
Been there many many time from my kid years with the family to with my own family now and still love it . Played in that cold water as a kid . I love it up there it’s small and just simple . Should had went on through and got some of that cold water coming out of a pipe on the side of the road . Dad took milk jugs up there every time we went and filled them up with that water . So many memories up there for me , still just about an hour from me . Great video Fridays 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for sharing!
