How to read chest CT: bronchial anatomy

- In this video I go through the system to assess all of the airways on chest CT: this is something that is a must every time you read a scan! Knowing the anatomy and being able to systematically review the airways will increase the chance of picking up abnormalities within the airways and of the consequences of airway pathology such as an obstructing tumour causing collapse.
Although it can all be a bit daunting I found scrolling through this helpful radiopaedia site whenever I read a chest CT really helpful in learning the bronchial anatomy

If only this video were around during my part 1 exam study I would not have repeatedly slammed my head against Weir's anatomy in frustration trying to painstakingly remember all the different airways and lobes!
Funnily enough I have just started my chest block so this is a lifesaver. Absolutely amazing video, perfect length and well-targeted. You've got me hooked now.
Haha. I wanted to make something that would have helped me in the early years of radiology so I’m glad it’s having the desired effect! Will be putting some more basic CT videos up in the next few weeks so hope they come into use. Good luck with your training!
Thank you for doing this video! It is excellent!
Yap your channel is a savior
Bronchial anatomy is really challenging and tricky--thanks for sharing your tips.
Thank you for the super informative video. Im not a radiologist but a chest physician. I've always wanted a video like this to help identify the different segments because it is useful esp when it comes to bronch'ing someone
Amazing! I'm soaking up all the content you're creating on IG and happy to see new is coming to YT. For a radiology resident this is so helpful
That’s great to hear! I’m trying to create a series of videos on basic CT interpretation that would have helped me when I first started so hope it all helps!
Super helpful content! Thank you! :)
This is so awesome! My medical schools testing us on CT scans and this really helps me. Thank you :)
