Always put the earth on last AFTER tightening the positive. This will ensure no sparks if you accidentally touch the body with the spanner when you tighten the positive .

That tube just goes to the bottom of the vehicle and just empties to the ground.

Without jump box you can go from rear and use screw driver to open trunk. Just for those like me who don't own a jump box. But good video

Inwas told there were codes to out in when installing a batter for x3 and bmw vehicles

Yeah some of these u have like reset light for battery and u add serial number for the battery with scan tool

​@@aferele6689 mine did not, ended up being an ignition switch for me. If you're having the same issues try wiggling your switch while trying to start. If that changes anything, then it's the culprit.
