    I realize this is an older video but wanted to say thanks. I am working on one of these and troubleshooting a flash code 11. Everything appears to be clean with both the upper an lower sensors. The machine was bought at an auction and had the hallmarks of an abandoned unit. Had old empty (frozen and burst) drink cans in it, and had money in the coin acceptor. The bill validator was giving code 11, until I blew the parts out with compressed air. It then worked for about two days and then the code 11 returned. I have taken it apart and cleaned the sensors and the plastic windows over them, both sides but the flash code 11 remains. I'm still looking for more info online, but your video was very helpful and I plan to watch more of your videos today.

      DID YOU FIGURE OUT THAT 11 FLASH CODE PROBLEM?

      @@jacquelinewegscheid9245 Tony, I ended up sending this to the manufacturer. They discovered damage to the lower sensor board. When I took it apart it had signs that a previous repair shop had been in it already. They replaced all damaged and missing hardware from the previous shop, plus replaced the board. Total cost was around $228 for the repairs.

    First of all, great video and explanations! The problem I’m having is the last example you gave. I was able to get it to take bills a couple times but most times it’s all the way in and back out. It sound a little tired and from the research I’ve done it probably needs new belts and a good cleaning.
    What would be the cause of the “all the way in and out” problem you described? Thanks for anything you can help with!

      I’m having the same issue takes a bill all the way in, then it goes out about 1/2 inch then back in, then spits it all the way out AND THEN the stacker motor runs. I completely disassembled the entire unit and cleaned the encoder wheel and it’s readers using a QTip and isopropyl alcohol, reassembled everything and am having the same issue.
      On start up the validator runs followed by the stacker. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hey Amy, Great video! I have a BA32SA in an AP 113. If I reset via power or pulling the cartridge and reseating it will take one or 2 bills then stop. What might be causing this? Seems to sound good when powering up and I have a solid red light.

      @@edgarcolon3815Not sure if it was the same issue but I found I had to go into the settings on the machine and dump the coins then refill the changer. Apparently the mech looses count of the coin tubes. Once I did that the machine has been good. I will see if I can find the procedure.

    • @MikeQuattro
      @MikeQuattro 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@edgarcolon3815Here was the solution that stopped all my problems…..
      You have incorrect tube counts in the logic board memory which the machine sees as zero quarters. From Service press 10, 1, 2, 5 and you will be in the coin mech inventory where it will show the value of the coin mech inventory. If you drop a coin in the top of the coin mech it will add that value to the total, if you press a coin payout switch it will deduct that value from the total. I would dump all coins out (with power off) then plug it in and go to this service mode. Use your payout switches to "empty" the coin mech. When the inventory value is zero you can start adding coins in the top of the coin mech to refill the tubes and set an accurate coin value.

    So what happens, if the validator takes the credit, but does not send the pulse signal to say the bill was accepted, but the credit was not pulsed up the line to the machine. I took back probes and back probed the pulse signal wire, and I could cross it to give the credit, but if i disconnected the signal wire, and then probed it on the validator side, then gave the validator a bill, it accepted, but no signal was sent down the line, is the unit bad and need to be repaired? or is there a trick to fix it

      Purchase the most expensive item in the machine using only quarters, then try again with the multiple bills. Make sure your coin mech is full of coins. You may have a bad lower sensor in one of the coin tubes of the coin mech so it is thinking it doesn't have enough coins to make proper change.

    You had stated that the bill acceptor will not accept bills if the coins are not filled. But would it still at least take in the bill and throw it back out? Or not even take it all? • @Vendingworks
      @Vendingworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it takes the bill in then spits it out, you have a problem with your bill validator. If the coin changer is low on coins the bill validator won't even try to take the bill in, it will act like it's dead. You absolutely have to have enough nickels (15-20) in the coin mech since it is the lowest denomination coin.

      If it only does it sometimes then usually it is due to a flakey harness not giving good connection, inspect wires and connections. Depending on the bill acceptor, if it doesn't make a sound when it powers up, there's' usually a flash code. If you can locate the LED, and you can see that it is indeed off and not flashing, it is probably either a bad validator or a bad harness. Especially if the coin changer has coins in it, and accepts coins.

    does the style model of a previous bill validator become a factor in a replacement of a new validator?

    • @Vendingworks
      @Vendingworks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! The most important factor is which protocol is used, since many coinco units offer two protocols, at different voltages. Basically, what matters is where you plug it in, and what voltage you are using. Some models are interchangeable, and others are not. We can always help in figuring out what works as a replacement as what doesn't.

    I have several bill acceptors that seem to work normally but the bills will have little bends on the bottom corners. Sometimes this is fine but it can get worse and then cause a jam. It looks like the bills are not being pulled in all the way, like 1/8" not enough then pushed into the bill box causing the bends. I am not sure what causes this and am wondering if there is an adjustment to have the bills pulled in a little more. I don't think the belts are slipping but I am not sure what causes this. Thanks.

    • @Vendingworks
      @Vendingworks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, It could be one of two things, one, like you said, would be the belts slipping, and they would need to be repalced. The second option would be a part called the intermedial frame. It is the frame piece, usually black of gray in color, that has the clips which hold the bill box in place. On the black frames, there are two belts with little white rollers. Add a small drop of 3 in 1 oil onto the rollers. This should solve the problem. If this is confusing, feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email and I can help explain further. Try this. Access the control board on the validator, and locate the main chip. It's either going to be a soldered chip, or a socketed chip. If it is a socketed chip, reseat the chip, or just push it down with your thumb further into the socket. It goes without saying, but be sure to disconnect the unit from power before trying this.
