What did I do wrong if I’m now getting five flashes even when cassette is in place?

Hi Mike! We communicated through email, but for others who may see this comment, usually 5 flashes is a broken or dirty bill box crystal. Clean it, check to make sure it lays flat and doesn't jiggle. Or switch out the bill box for another. That will usually fix it.

It will work without connecting the ground, but it is reccomended.
