- Battlefield 2042 has a new game mode called control with some new mechanics I don't remember seeing in a Battlefield game before, let's check it out! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.

This mode is actually really solid, all my games felt more action packed but also more predictable, like, I knew where the enemy team would be coming from. Really enjoy it 👌
thats why I like breakthrough but this is a great hybrid of conquest :)

yeah I've played a few more times on the game mode now on Orbital and Valparaiso, I think it has a lot of potential, good fun!

Jackfrags silently looking at the riot shield guy for a second and then casually blowing him up with C5 must be one of my favorite gaming moments.
The vehicle buy system, in this mode, is very similar to how Star Wars Battlefront 2 worked. I think that game was good in the sense that you had to earn the good vehicle (And hero’s) which shared them around and gave a sense of achievement. They even had map specific vehicles like AT-ATs. (Also there was a class that game, officer, that allowed you to get points pretty easily if you preferred vehicles play).
A sense of pride and accomplishment, too
short or long video, full of edits or none at all, mainstream or smaller titles; none of it matters, i don’t think i’m alone in saying we watch jackfrags for jack not just the frags :)
the casual commentary on top of some of the most insane plays i’ve ever witnessed in a game really is the cherry on top.

Yeah sort of but in battlefront there are restrictions to the amount of vehicles and heroes you can have spawned at the same time so they usually do still get hogged. But in this there isn't a restriction which is more chaotic but very interesting
Then you just get a spam at the end of the round
By the by... Blasco might not be the most fun operator to use, but she's definitely super helpful for the Squad/Team
she's my favourite tbh
She is broken in the best way in Rush XL. You can easily get top of the leaderboard all by sticking her counter-uav right in the meatgrinder.
She's my second favorite behind Falck.

This mode existed in a game called homefront. Such a great game. You had to earn points to get helicopters, tanks etc
Homefront actually had a really fun multiplayer. The movement felt a bit stiff and it took a while to get into the action, but it was still so fun and different. Wish it had a bigger budget and a more successful launch. Happy to see a more interesting mode in 2042.

I do every single time. Problem is people don't pay attention. They get that tunnel vision.
Yeah I always do but most seem not to. The worst one is where they're not far from you, spam the revive me call out, so you go there and immediately get killed by the enemy that was camping in a bush right next to them. If someone does that I note their name and refuse to pick them up for the rest of the match unless I see them go down and know it's safe
I always spot but mutha fuckas don't like looking at the minimap or don't watch for pings.....
That's like asking people to use turn signals. Some people are beyond helping or being of any assistance to you

Don’t know why this was not considered - it was a great feature and put emphasis on team play

I loved playing squad captain in BFV for this very reason. It was a great mechanic. It also made you pay attention to squad goals and tactics. A huge plus.

This looks like a game mode I could get behind. I think the idea behind saving up points to buy and use vehicles is genius. Love it. Wish this always existed.

This mode is very chaotic and sweaty. But I enjoyed it and can’t wait to play again. Like all previous modes it need ls 2-3 days before players know how to play it. I have enjoyed all events especially the two last ones and I think they should put them on rotation

Spending points to get vehicles definitely is a feature brought over from the Star Wars battlefront series and is honestly welcome in my opinion.
I always said it should be a thing and would make the sweaty vehicle campers have to earn it as infantry first.
Jack just ignoring that hovercraft driver made me spit my tea
I really like the idea of getting points by playing the objectives in order to get vehicles.
Imo, it would be a good addition to conquest, even just a limited time to see how that goes.
Played a few matches so far Exposure, Reclaimed came up in rotation. Had a good time on both maps, the tunnel in exposure had lots frantic fights. Overall had a great time!

I love watching a player that is verbally communicating what he's thinking as he goes. Makes for feeling involved with the player. Thumbs up.
When BF skins are so much cooler and more work put in them, then cod skins
This Control Mode reminds me much of BF5's "Outpost", and I liked Outpost. :D
Spending Points to get Vehicles reminds me much of BF5's "Squad Points" where stuff the Squad does earns those then the Squad Leader can spend those points to call in stuff. My fav thing to call in: Sturmtiger... >:D (The Churchill Crocodile, Calliope, Hachi, and Artillery Strikes were fun too.) Honestly this Mode and being able to call in the Vehicle and Spawn into it looks WAY better than callin it in while on foot and having a limited time for you or a Squaddie to die, go to the Deploy Screen, then bag the Vehicle to Deploy in it before its Timer expired and rendered the Vehicle and the Squad Points spent on it completely wasted.

They're basically a gadget stapled to a skin now that classes are back, not that different from other Battlefield's
@@middaymeds ah yes, how could we forget the wing suits, the auto turrets, the grapple hooks, a wrist watch that lets you “hack” everything etc from previous BF games. Indestructible buildings and cover, and invincible “transport helis”, no server browser… I could go on and on and on about how “similar” this game is to previous BF games.

From the few games I've played, I've loved the gameplay. Really does give off that King of the Hill/Hardpoint feel that I've been missing as an obj player💪
Reminds me of the close quarters conquest in BF3. Some of the best times I’ve had on the series with that game mode
Jack you are supposed to put scanner and blocker on objectives, not in random places outside. And for the spawn beacon you should hide it well somewhere for you team to spawn in and this way help them win
This mode was more interesting to watch than most BF2042 content, FWIW. Good video Jack!

I’d be playing this game more but I’m so close to 1k hours in BFV so I’m trying to get that mark. I’ve never reached 1k hours in a game before. Yes, BFV is my favorite.

Nice, man! I never reached such numbers with BFV, i'm at 400 hrs. or so but i've got a whopping 1350 hrs. in BF4 which makes it my most played BF ever! I played 'em all since the BF2 days..
I got about 1500 in BFV myself. It was my first BF game over 1k. Definitely a good time. About 1400 in 2042 now as well

Battlebit is forcing change, this was clearly already planned but I can see some of the same things that make battlebit great in this game mode and I'm all for it.

I farmed all rewards first day in this mode. Unlike other modes, this one have a unlimited Taxi's so you quickly get back in to action.
It's the opposite of Hourglass map where you walk for so long that you die of thirst somewhere in the desert before you get back in to action anywhere.
This is kinda a cool mode. It's like new capture points and at first it starts off as infantry fighting and then a bunch of vehicles everywhere. Personally, I definitely think more vehicles should be in the bigger maps.
I want them to keep this game mode in future titles. Feels good to get vehicles like cod streaks for team doing well.

it doesnt just look like ash its a refrence to ash and the robot ash is is called a simulacrum and the weapon charm in bf2042 is also called simulacrum! THATS SO COOL.
In battlefield 5 you earned points for squad leader. He could then summon vehicles, supply drops or V1

I absolutely love this new game mode. Having to buy vehicles makes it pretty balanced, the moving capture points, the NONSTOP action. I hope this one sticks around because it's super fun

COD Modern Battlefield.
This game mode is similar to Titans in 2142 and BF4. You had to cap rocket silos to hit the big ship and get inside. This one has a twist with shopping for vehicles and floating objective locations. Its a neat idea. Essentially you have to cap points at specific time to get the benefit. I still firmly believe Titans was the best game mode in battlefield, but this one is really good. Rush is up there too

My buds and I played this game mode yesterday and we absolutely loved it! It's just as fun a conquest! But it keeps you on your toes even more! Always having to pick a new strategy with picking available vehicles.

Spending points to call in vehicles? Of course that's been done before, Jack.
BFV, squad leaders can call in heavy tanks or AT trucks (and other support) by spending squad points.

After not buying this game cause of it's terrible release, I've bought Battlebit and now look at all the extra over the top bullshit Battlefield has and know I made the right choice. 😂
I like this idea - you reward the players who are grafting and getting kills and not the players camping the heli spawn locations ... (a bit like Battlefront games with heroes)

Finally awesome seasonal gamemode, this should mode in the core game IMO. Love the fact that you have to buy the vehicles with ur points.
I only play hardcore servers on any battlefield game. I can't stand shooting someone 20 times and they don't die.

@@ruhidmohamad Not everybody, but i do suppose they do things for a reason. Probably to cater to a more casual call of duty crowd. It definitely took away some of the arcadey vibe. It also gave meaning to LMG and other suppressive weapons
@@taber1975 it was an overwhelming majority. Suppression is a casual mechanic in Battlefield that awards inaccurate fire. It makes sense in mil-sim games not in arcade shooters like Battlefield.
Spending points to get Vehicles is just like how star wars battlefront 2 works.
Been playing a lot of both games. And I think it does work better when you spend points to get a tank instead of just waiting in the lobby and be lucky to get one

I really enjoyed the first few rounds then I had about 5 on the go that was just pure vehicle spam so I gave it up. They really need to address the engineer/vehicle combat, I feel like I am the only 1 trying to take tanks out half the time and I just run round tickling them without actually getting any destroyed.
The vehicle points thing is the same as the Battlefront 2 points mechanic. I'm surprised Jack didn't pick up on that. Seems like a cool mode too.
I don't know how jack can sleep knowing NACHAR-2 is out there ready to strike at a moments notice
