    Excellent video Nicholas... very well spoken, totally true. I need to make adjustments myself. One bad operation last year for me where I had a very large position which went the other way pretty much erased 90% of my yearly gains... from Brazil 👍

    Very interesting, even after a year of learning trading I’ve never considered that you could have a negative net pips for the week and still be in profit £. Never really taken the strategy of modifying position by probability of setup seriously until now. For me it was always, 2%, next trade 2% etc. Thanks nick!

    Just so we are clear when you say 1 or 2% of account, that is the max money you are willing to loose on that trade i.e. Where your stop is (including poss. Slippage) and not the actual total value of that position , right?
    Great insight by the way thanks a lot

    Hey Nicholas, thanks for that video. I'm really enjoying the daily videos! In regards to this video, appreciating that i'm just a beginner in trading, I still struggle to determine what's a high probability trade and what's a low probability trade. Is this a hunch for you, or is it based on fulfilled criteria? I suspect its the latter. Could you give me an example of what you consider a high probability trade?
    As a side note, I just wanted to thank-you for your suggestion in a previous video, i.e. to read Trading in the Zone. Reading it changed my whole perception of trading. It took out the anxiety or the stress of a losing trade to a certain extent, because I understand why it has to happen, yet, I know that It could still be fine! If the setup is right, in the long run the odds are in your favour. You alluded to some of these points in this video as well.

    I wonder why nobody talks about margin and margin percentage when it comes to risk- & money management... Stop Losses are not the only tool to limit your risk!

    So if your account has 5,000 Francs, then you only invest 50 Francs? Can you even do that without leverage?

    • @levansegnaro4637
      @levansegnaro4637 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dan Jensen no it's only Risking 50 francs if you lose, so say your stop is 2% and your risking 1% of your acount aka 50 francs, that means you can put 2500 on the trade.
