i always put elastic band around the lighter below where you press for gas works the same way , iv never used a light its always flint & steel or ferro rode
@@theaveragewoodsman6002 like i said never used a lighter but always good to carry one , thing i lie about flint & steel or ferro rod u can drop it in water still work soon as u take it out , iv been showing friends how to use them for nearly 40s , but if your lighter keeps getting wet why don't you put it into a sealed bag 😁new sub

I've heard people say that before. I also generally use a ferro rod or flint and steel, but I already had my spare lighter out, so I used it.
