I know a lot of persons want the “old neck deep back”, and though I do love their old and new stuff, it’s unfair to expect persons well into their 20s to be bitter and angry about issues they had when they were younger. We should be happy and hopeful that the band is in a better place mentally now, and can explore topics that hits more home to them in their new phase of their life. Keep it going guys! ❤️
Just because you’re in a better place doesn’t mean you should suddenly water down your music. There’s plenty of happy rock songs, that’s the problem they’ve become a pop band.
Did you listen to the lyrics? Lol. The bitterness is still there! Anyways, all bands go through changes in sound, I totally agree. I love all Neck Deep.
neck deep is one of those bands that just have a fresh spring sound, even their most emotional songs have that undertone. by far one of my favorite bands
This new sound is super fresh, I really can't wait for the album, it's a mixture of different tastes and it sounds super good. wait you know what? IT SOUNDS MARVELLOUSLY PERFECT! great job Neck Deep.
Seb mouthing all the words is my favorite part. This whole song is so great, but Seb knowing and mouthing all of those words means he is so passionate, and he loves this song and what he is doing. I love it so much.
“We’re trying to present our sound, as individuals and as a band, in a way that’s palatable to the biggest audience,” - Dani. I feel this explains a lot about the new Neck Deep.
I'm grateful to have an option to choose between the sounds. Nothing wrong with branching out a bit. Not really a fan of some of the really cliche generic lyrics that I'm hearing here and there in their new songs. BUT I fuck with 90% of the lyrics still.
@@BaronVonBielski People generally respond to music because it resonates with them emotionally. This happens because the artist created something real and people feel that. There's a lot of children on here who feel the need to put the band down. I've been listening to Neck Deep for probably about four years on and off. This album, "All Distortions are Intentional" is, Imo the best album the band has released. Maybe because I've always been lyrics-driven but my gosh. "Sick Joke" defines depression to a "T". "Sonderland" is a close second. Great job, Neck Deep. This album is amazing and I'm super picky about the music I commit my time to. I implore the nay-sayers to give the album a second, third, or even fourth listen. However long it takes... I promise you will not be disappointed and Tbh, it took me a few listens to truly appreciate the depth and maturity of the band. Grow up people and appreciate the band for growing as people musically and well... people. The band isn't here to please *you*, so stop thinking you're so special. You are special but maybe stop being such a cocky jerk about it. There's a difference between being cocky and humble.
That's a top 5 album in the whole pop punk genre so many bigger bands go through the same problem the only other pop punk band to do it more than once was green day and the second time was a fluke
As much as I loved the LNOTGY era of Neck Deep, I love this new era just as much. They are growing as a band and I couldn’t be more proud of how far they’ve come ❤️🖤
Can we just take a moment to appreciate when a band evolves musically? We might not be able to like it because it's different, but I think we should take some time to be grateful that they are still together and creating music. I've seen so many of my favorite musicians passed away. Let's just appreciate them.
I didn’t love this song at first but maaaaaan has it grown on me. When you stop expecting the old fast punk Neck Deep, you can really appreciate this album for what it is.
Thankyouuu for all your wonderful songs. Whenever I listen to your songs, it reminds me that every struggle I endure, is a proof my existence. That feeling vulnerable is valid. Glad that I am still here, and not dead. ❤️
neck deep is not famous but it deserved much more success the songs are perfect and the band is still active, i hope you never end, i love this band so much

Don’t get why people keep shunning this album! Sure, the vibes have changed, but you gotta expect that. Music changes and evolves along with the creators. To stay static would mean giving up the genuineness of the band. And it’s not fair on Neck Deep to be forced into a countercreative box by their fans. If you have any respect for the band as people and as artists, you’d understand that it’s NOT about catering to fans’ music tastes. It’s about the music and freedom of expression. So in short, ... if you don’t like the new stuff, nobody is making you listen to it!! Here’s the door>🚪 Quit spreading negative vibes and just let people who appreciate the evolution of their music enjoy it.
I agree. I hate their new vibes but that's not a reason to state that they suck or something bcos they don't. Some people love it and some don't like me. And that's ok.
It has nothing to do with changing their sound. Their “new sound” isn’t bad. I welcome it in fact cuz their less traditionally pop/punk songs of their last album were some of my favourite. It has a lot to do with doing it well. These new songs are boring though. They’re not memorable and have ZERO lyrical or melodic hooks. They just need to do better.
Yup. This is how the music scene goes. People progress mentally and artistically and find new sounds they’re passionate about. I think it’s great that they can continue to make music and people still love it, because they deserve their success. I personally don’t feel as in love with this sound as I do with their older stuff. BUT, I will still support them and I’ll probably even go see them live any chance I get because they got me through a lot.
マコちゃん lol ok? But I meant they to do better in that style if that’s where they’re heading. I honestly don’t mind when bands change their style. Some of the best music has come out of bands changing their style. I’m just saying, these recent songs aren’t catchy. They petty dull.
Thank you neck deep he saved me from loneliness I miss miss having a gig and playing because that's where I forget all the problems thank you for my inspiration I miss my band even though I think we are really disband I'm still forcing myself go on thank you very much you are one of the reasons so I want to be a musician thank you I love you
Alot of these comments make no sense to me. Yes their sound has changed, personally I love it. I'd rather have them grow and expand their sound every album then just make the same album every time
I don’t think anyone’s mad at the sound change I just think the quality of the songs aren’t as good as the older material. I’m all for new sounds. Personally these new songs aren’t as memorable and don’t quite have that lyrical connection for me. But different strokes for different folks
I think people are mistakenly associating maturation with a change in sound. Changing your sound to be more generic does not necessarily resemble maturation. If every band “grows” and changes their sound into this generic presentation, then there is nothing special about it which is why it is not as memorable as their older content. Quality tends to decrease as a band “grows.”
I'm wondering if they all filmed this at home in front of a wall or screen, still an awesome song and very relevant as to the sick joke that this year has been
