This Album helped me through a break up. True contrite hit the hardest. Eventually ran into her in public where she talked about being at a job she hated and being with a bum guy. She said she missed me the most. And wanted to see if there was spark. There was. I just left and she called me up saying she was sad when I left without saying a word. I said well you shouldn’t have cheated. True contrite did hit her. Never heard someone breakdown a lot on the phone before. But I’m glad where I am now.
indeed. I miss bands like Blink 182, Green Day, Sum 41, MxPx, Allister, Gob, No Use For A Name, Bouncing Souls, Useless ID, Face To Face, The Ataris, etc... but don't worry there is a modern pop punk band that retains the 90s pop punk sound. Listen to Canadian band SEAWAY.
I actually like the mature emo feel. Because once you get older, even after you get over your "emo" phase (i.e dying your hair black, hating your parents for the stupidest reasons, treating Gerard Way or Danny Worsnop as Gods, and ect.) you still have a sense of sadness by wondering where you wanna go in life, how will you survive poverty, or the loss of someone who is close to you. This also applies even if you never had an emo phase. Thats why I love bands like Knuckle Puck and The Wonder Years, they convey deep sadness but they talk about more mature subjects which me as a young adult can identify with. It sure as hell beats lyrics like "cut my wrists and black my eyes" lol. But I still love the old school pop punk bands such as Green Day, Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory, and ect.
MardyBum100291 Can't kick up the roots is the only good single they released out of the two. Not impressed so far. But right now, Knuckle Puck's in the lead in my book.
The most beautiful ending I've ever heard across these genres and sub genres. The whole song is sick but damn dude that ending gets me. I can't remember the last time I liked a song this much. Haha.
I've been a fan since 2014, and i appreciate the changes knuckle puck has made on their sound. they've grown as a band. and they haven't lost the meaning in their songs. i Appreciate this band a lot.
A loving reminder of buried weight, you never shed in the first place. I’m 29 and only now realizing this is me, unburying the roots of my broken self in order to better serve my family
+We Remotely Low I agree. I actually couldn't listen to this album for the longest time because the drums are WAY too high in the mix. There are some points on the album where all you hear are vocals and snare. It's obnoxious.
The beauty of this is that is transcends the genre, it's just great rock music. Sure, it's got the trappings of so many pop punk outfits, but I see so much more here. The guitar riffs are brilliant, the lyrics are inspiring, the rhythm section is on point. Love it!
The production of this song is so amazing. Everything feels so organic and at the right place. The guitar lines are kinda labored, always changing but exactly where they have to be, never too much. Same thing with the drums, which I think is my favorite part of the song. The tones of every instrument are beautiful too. The melody, the lyrics. Ugh. Such a good song!
This song is summer 2015 when I was 15 years old, walking barefoot everywhere outside and in the soft puddles of water in my yard. About to start my freshman year of HS, about to start marching band for the first time. Feeling like I was on an important border between periods of my life. This song and whole album helped shape young me no question. I’ll always be grateful for it and what it has helped me learn about myself.
im so happy this band is finally getting the recognition they deserve, rise records did some good shit by signing this band, and 3:35 that bridge so niceee
Lyric : You learn a lot about honesty from the dried out leaves of the fallen trees in your life Forgiving pathetic excuses for long term abuse is something I could never justify with God You live in a lonely state of denial and self-decay A living reminder of buried weight you never shed in the first place Disguise your memory with pictures on the walls (Am I good enough? Am I good enough?) Replace my every flaw, the ones you never even saw (As if you tried to, you never tried to) We dream in color, but see in black and white Between the covers, we sleep on beds of lies Someday your true contrite will find you Your world is what you've made it Is this all you bartered for? You live in a lonely state of denial and self-decay A living reminder of buried weight you never shed in the first place Disguise your memory with pictures on the walls (Am I good enough? Am I good enough?) Replace my every flaw, the ones you never even saw (As if you tried to, you never tried to) We dream in color, but see in black and white Between the covers, we sleep on beds of lies Someday your true contrite will find you
Everytime I hear this song I wanna send it to my dad 😅 Hearing it live almost brought me to my knees, has been and will always be my favorite album and favorite band 💚
That's great! Glad some people still getting into punk-pop and such! I got into the Story So Far not even that long ago and they are better than a few of the bands I was really into the earlier 2000s. I remember Strike Anywhere was supposed to be the next big band at the time and they just didn't do it for me.
So we've got iDubbbz on the drums for Knuckle Puck. Cyr as the front-man also for Knuckle Puck. Then Maxmoefoe as the front-man for Trophy Eyes. One more and we'd have found a super-band, gentlemen. Just gotta find Frank.
Hometown rep guys! Glad to see you have made it thus far out of our crummy little neighborhood. Really shows anything is possible if you put your mind to it :)
+Cabaret Runaway It kind of reminds me of the end of Reset by Misery Signals. The riffs are way different but they both have that nice calm vibe to them

The cover art keeps showing up in their music videos: Disdain had an origami frog, and True Contrite has the slow-mo and rewinding sections pertaining to a clock, so that means there will probably be a couple more videos for the flowers and dice. I'm pretty sure the glasses are for every music video because of Joe

Skated with John, the drummer at my local park awhile back before I knew about KP, found out one of their first shows was actually in my girlfriend at the times garage and that I went to a couple parties with the bassist in highschool.
Copacetic is the first album that I listen to with a dictionary
+Jason LovesPWD and that's okay. He didn't claim to.
Jason LovesPWD Death metal has lyrics?
+Connor Girvin he's just implying that op doesn't listen to death metal cause death metal usually has very big and intricate words
Justus Hawkins listen to bad religion
What words don't you know? I can understand the album title, but I mean, this song has some familiar diction.
We dream in color but see in black and white
Damn that line got me
OMFG I read this comment just as they said that and it's the first time I've heard this
Sarah MyChem Got it tattooed on my leg
zachary rafferty THAT'S RAD
zachary rafferty NICE! Love the tribal skull
+Sarah MyChem dudette these lyrics + the wonder years/have mercy/the maddigans make my pop punk life complete
This band is formed on every sad 17 year olds broken heart.
This Album helped me through a break up. True contrite hit the hardest.
Eventually ran into her in public where she talked about being at a job she hated and being with a bum guy.
She said she missed me the most.

Good job king
Good, put that thot in her place
These Nu Pop Punk bands are so different than those of the 90s. They seem to lean more toward a mature emo like feel.

Silentwolfx84 danny is still my god tho
i love this drummers style. from drum setup to overall movement, this dude slams the drums.
"we dream in color, we see in black and white" beautiful

The writing in Copacetic is excellent. It's no question that K.P. debut album should be album of the year.
***** lol.
***** Warning, Neck Deep album 2 incoming.
+MardyBum100291 it's gonna be the shit
Shannon Maguire
You damn right! Gonna slay.
MardyBum100291 Can't kick up the roots is the only good single they released out of the two. Not impressed so far. But right now, Knuckle Puck's in the lead in my book.
The bass is killer in this song, also when the drums go from being syncopated to just in beat with the jam at the end, its like wow!
The most beautiful ending I've ever heard across these genres and sub genres. The whole song is sick but damn dude that ending gets me. I can't remember the last time I liked a song this much. Haha.
I'm with you, this song hits hard. love it. props to these dudes
Same here. It's right behind Vomit by Microwave for me. I listen to them back to back
Same here❤️❤️
this lil riff is still legendary... they let that shit breathe and ooo wee is it spicy
Let's start a thread of epic song endings. I'll go. New Scream by Turnover.
this song got the best pop punk outro i heard in my live .
This is a classic summer banger I love Knuckle puck I find a lot of their music is about forgetting the past an moving forward
I havent seen them in concert in almost 5 years, but I used to see them a couple times a year... always such amazing experiences
God, I love this band. Give me such a nostalgic feeling whenever I listen to them.

the bridge at 1:31 - 1:58 is one of my fav knuckle puck moments. shit SLAPS
I really dig this band. Gets me motivated to play. And I love the bass, that really punchy sound.
Ahhh this song still has the best outro I've ever heard ❤️❤️❤️
I've been a fan since 2014, and i appreciate the changes knuckle puck has made on their sound. they've grown as a band. and they haven't lost the meaning in their songs. i Appreciate this band a lot.

So this is what Gideon Graves did after Scott Pilgrim beat him?
+Netflix and Dyl That's exactly what I thought too, holy shit
+Netflix and Dyl Apparently he looks like a lot of people. I immediately thought he looked like Kyle Mooney ahahaha.
+Netflix and Dyl It`s Andrey Malakhov - Russian TV presenter ;)
+Netflix and Dyl Check out the lead singer of Coconut Records...now that's Gideon Graves.
OMFF I CANT👌💀
These guys were the best at Warped 2016 in Auburn...blew me away.
Copacetic is going to be remembered as one of those albums that wasn't appreciated for the masterpiece it was
can someone talk to me about how perfect knuckle pucks snare is
+Ruby Scrimizzi Agreed, the whole kit just always sounds so fantastic. I love the way lefty playing sounds, it just has a different flow.
+Ruby Scrimizzi amazing production!
+Ruby Scrimizzi I think the drums sound like utter shit, personally. WAY over-compressed.
+We Remotely Low I agree. I actually couldn't listen to this album for the longest time because the drums are WAY too high in the mix. There are some points on the album where all you hear are vocals and snare. It's obnoxious.
TH-cam does compress the audio in the video
This whole album is perfect.
knuckle puck's lyrics are what I live for
I like this band, because they let everyone of the band members shine with their own instrument!
The beauty of this is that is transcends the genre, it's just great rock music. Sure, it's got the trappings of so many pop punk outfits, but I see so much more here. The guitar riffs are brilliant, the lyrics are inspiring, the rhythm section is on point. Love it!

Thank god I found this band. I love music that makes me learn new words, it's the only reason why people say I have a large vocabulary nowadays.
5 years since Copacetic and it's still the best album ever. Lots of good memories with KP
Such a great band! I wish I could see them playing live...
i wish i could die
soooooo random! :D
Am I the only one who prefers Knuckle Puck over The Story So Far?
Everytime I hear this song I wanna send it to my dad 😅
Hearing it live almost brought me to my knees, has been and will always be my favorite album and favorite band 💚
This album is an absolute gem! Absolutely love Knuckle Puck!
Oh Knuckle Puck. You continue to amaze.
Bruh imagine coming home from high school just to spit out hits left and right with the boys
kids these days don't know what high school is. I feel bad for them.
Adam Schroeder Yup, i regret wasting away 3 of my years in highschool in love with someone who didnt deserve it
Cannot wait to see you guys play the new songs live! I am really in love with this album.
I always love how focused yet completely alive the drummer is. Such a good band.
3:05 i recall this moment in my life. I have lived here for a while and although it is dark. It is beautiful to revisit with new perspective.
So. Damn. Good. Pretense is my fav though.

I have nothing but love for these guys!! there music is so good and I can't wait to see them in concert again!!
This is one of the first videos that got me into modern pop punk and first got me passionate about music in general
This one makes me very nostalgic
That's great! Glad some people still getting into punk-pop and such! I got into the Story So Far not even that long ago and they are better than a few of the bands I was really into the earlier 2000s. I remember Strike Anywhere was supposed to be the next big band at the time and they just didn't do it for me.
I clicked this on accident and I actually like it. its different and original from a lot of things
So we've got iDubbbz on the drums for Knuckle Puck. Cyr as the front-man also for Knuckle Puck. Then Maxmoefoe as the front-man for Trophy Eyes.
One more and we'd have found a super-band, gentlemen. Just gotta find Frank.
Everything is great in slowmo! Then A custom cymbals especially 👍
them**
The hi hats were k's and the cymbals were A's not A customs
+MarkChiassonDrums crash and ride cymbals*
+MarkChiassonDrums I wasn't paying attention to the hihats, as for the 's part, eh you knew what they were👍👍👍 slowmo is still great 👍👍👍
+Andy Aguilar those are A zildians just A customs :) but its my fav thing about As!
Hometown rep guys! Glad to see you have made it thus far out of our crummy little neighborhood. Really shows anything is possible if you put your mind to it :)
They are really good, I like the dudes voice and the way the whole band sounds together.
The clean guitar parts sound like jesus wrote them if he could play guitar.
Who said he can't? I bet Jesus is up there shredding right now.
Jesus probably would play a Rick
+Cabaret Runaway you talking about the outro part??
+Cabaret Runaway It kind of reminds me of the end of Reset by Misery Signals. The riffs are way different but they both have that nice calm vibe to them
Cabaret Runaway Jesus shreds
That bass line at 1:52 is crazy AF
My favorite song off the album.
I mean, yeah... this has 1 million views. I still think this band is underrated.
been listening to these guys since no good. this is amazing stuff. I listen to this album every day.
I've never had an ending of a song hit as hard as this one.
Never really liked KP until this album... Now I'm completely hooked! This song might be my absolute favorite
God Bless
Watching the drummer of this band . . . He reminds me of that friend we all had back in elementary school. He was on the math team, captain of the electronic club and the chess club, yet we still invited him over for pizza night on Friday after school cause you and you're boys new that he could promote the band from the garage to the club scene once he went ham on that drum set for some garage band.
One of best written pop punk song!
I used to listen to this band all the time four months ago. I was gonna see them playing live in London on December 15th but they cancelled it. I remember I was so sad... I'm from South America and I was doing an exchange program in Spain, I had my flight tickets my hostel booking I had everything ready for it to be perfect. It was the ONLY chance in life I'd ever had to see this band. I was so disappointed. Sadly I still feel like that and listening to these song is not the same anymore.
This song along consumes all the bands that are included in this genre. Truly breathtaking. 👍
The cover art keeps showing up in their music videos: Disdain had an origami frog, and True Contrite has the slow-mo and rewinding sections pertaining to a clock, so that means there will probably be a couple more videos for the flowers and dice. I'm pretty sure the glasses are for every music video because of Joe
sometimes John too
+Markel Slade yeah but those are different frames
woodyhitya oh ok I see , didn't Joe wear some different frames for a while ?
literally their best song
Me gustó mucha esta banda *o*. Ojalá y sigan su carrera, me encantan (:.

Absolutely love the outro to this!!
So glad they went on tour with the Maine. Now I'm obsessed.
