I think this post covid period will go down in history as having some of the worst automotive garbage ever. Some of these outfits we are use to getting junk from (hint: Stellantis, Ford and GM) but even Toyota and Honda have been screwing the pooch lately. I would expect Toyota and Honda to knuckle down and fix the issues, the others not so much.
Nice video. The only issue I have is some of these vehicles are from 14-19 years ago! I know it takes a minute to build up a bad reputation but many newer cars already have it with buyers. I don’t think your list should ever include cars over 5 years old!
As a sales rep that’s on the road, I’ve been giving the ability to drive some different vehicles. First car my boss gave me was my favourite. Mazda 3 Hatchback with the Turbo engine. I inherited that vehicle with over 200,000KM on it. It made it all the way up to 450,000KM. My boss was convinced when he bought that vehicle the odometer was even rolled back. The next car after that, he gave me his wife’s Hyundai Elantra. Gutless piece of junk. Didn’t even make it to 150,000KM. Currently have a Kia Sportage from 2021. It’s about over 150,000KM right now and I can’t complain about that vehicle at all.
Hyundai/Kia aren't the best but I don't think they're total garbage either. Yes they have/had their issues especially with the Theta II engine but a thing that may be compounding their reputation as junk is they are a cut rate, economy brand, however you want to put it. People attracted to an economy brand aren't usually the best at keeping up with their vehicles. So I wonder how much is the car is just bad and how much is the owner trashing it by not taking care of it. Even a Toyota will soon be turned into junk if you never change the oil.....
The older Nissan's with CVTs were problematic. I owned a 2016 Altima that had to have a transmission replacement at 60k, so yeah I get why people hate Nissan's now, but I stuck beside them lol. They replaced my transmission for free, then I traded that car in for a 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport which was reliable for all 80k miles I drove and now I got a 2024 Nissan Rogue SL so I'm hopeful this one will fair just as well.
I own a 2015 Nissan Versa Note and it is faultless. 90K mi. CVT. Of course I have it serviced on schedule by the dealer. Small price to pay for peace of mind. Also JD Power gives it a 4 out of 5 and RepairPal gives it a 4.5 out of 5 score. By the way, Veloster is a Hyundai, not a Nissan. Why Don't you correct your flaws?

Heads-up, the graphic for the Veloster shows Nissan rather than Hyundai.

Thoughts on the GMC terrain?
Is it a Veloster a Hyundai or Nissan. Script does not match font.

Nissan is going under soon.
None of these are current models
I don’t choose the vehicles on the list. The list is the list.
Jeep come pass sitting on the side of the road.
