    As someone with Erb's that has been working out since I was 15, thank you for posting this! If you are ever state side (Florida to be specific) hit me up, I'd love to help spread the Beating BPI message any way I can. The ONLY thing Erb's ever stopped me from doing that I wanted to do was join the U.S Military. I could still do that if I had the drive to work on my range of motion a little bit lol. So if you are reading this and have Erb's, you are not alone! Keep pushing!!

    Thank you so much, I can't begin to tell you how happy seeing someone with the same thing thing as I do work out with the limitations. I always tried to find alternative exercises not to hurt myself and this vid showed me a few!

    Great video, was born with Erbs and worked out my whole life. Starting to get a bit older and finding it more difficult in general but seeing new ways of doing these exercises is great. Cheers

    Man I have really been struggling with my erbs recently. I recently started a workout regimen. Almost 3 months in, but I find that I dread arm/chest/shoulders. It’s so frustrating trying to get my body to do what I want. It’s held me back for so long. It’s good to see other people doing it.

    Can you make some videos on shoulder exercise because it is the most difficult part to train in Erbs palsy

    This is awesome. I am doing research about someone who has a brachial plexus injury and this video gave me ideas of what she would do when she goes to the gym.

    My son has erbs palsy, he is 9 in January plays rugby and swims. Swimming has been excellent for giving him external rotation of his shoulder especially back stroke, I was watching him this week thinking wow. Rugby has been great for coordination and balance, he runs with his right arm low which reduces his stride however when I ask him to raise a alternate his striding the improvement is amazing. The most important thing is to keep them active and allow as much stimulation of the nerves and muscles. Never give up!!!

      Absolutely! That's awesome that he's so active. I was encouraged to do as many activities as possible when I was a kid

    I’m at a similar stage to this guy. But plan to go way further. Get horrible pain in my sternocleidomastoid. Don’t let erbs palsy stop you.

    I've found the same tricep and chest exercises to be highly effective. Recommend them for anyone else seeing this. I've always struggled with traditional bench press due to lack of range of motion. I find it hard to get my elbow out all the way. Right now I'm trying to increase my ROM so I've been doing dumbbell press while stabilizing my left arm with my right hand. If you rotate the dumbbell it becomes more of a shoulder workout. Since I've always struggled to work out my shoulders, I'm hoping this exercise will be effective.

    Okay but how do I manage the Pain that comes with working out.? I don't even use my arm and I have excruciating pain that courses through it all the time. Also I know working out the muscles causes a little bit of soreness on its own..

    • @swivelshufflez
      @swivelshufflez 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Part of that pain is from a lack of working out. It was for me anyway. I’ve been pushing to stretch and try to move through the pain and I can say that it has been helping tremendously. I hear you. But I’m telling you, movement is medicine. Even the nerve tingles and shooting fire has subsided considerably.
