I am planning on trying to get to Calarts, and not gonna lie, I'm terrified. I'm still working on my portfolio but I'm super worried on moving out of the state into California. Which, basically means just more costs because of housing on top of the already expensive tuition. But your perseverance is so inspiring to keep on working hard to get in!! Thanks so much!
I met Ed Hooks once too on an animation festival and he's just sooo nice :') And I'm really happy that although you had to live all this horror story momments in the end you were able to apply and to study there. It's really cool!

Thank you so much! I had no idea what to do as, initially, I had no money to study at all. So, I thought of working as a fashion model and save money to attend the school 😂 Of course, I couldn’t earn anything and I was just lucky, that my close relatives decided to pay for me:( There are lots of opportunities for Americans, but not for foreigners. The minimum score in toefl is 80 points!
Such an amazing inspiring story 🥺, I failed to catch what institution you decided to attend? I’m on the US and almost about to graduate from HighSchool but because Calarts is so expensive and my family is very poor I can’t attend, but maybe in the future once I’m able to get loans haha…
I went to both last yr:) now I took a LOA at Calarts to finish my studies in France! Calarts is v expensive and I had no state scholarships as a foreigner:( But I hope, you’ll get ones and make your dream come true:)
