Amazing how the bishop became the most powerful piece at the end when it was initially rendered useless by the strong pawn structure. Once the bishop got behind the pawns it was all over. It only shows magnus’s strong understanding of the pieces, turning disadvantage into advantage.

Magnus lures his oppenent into think he's confused, and they have an advantage. He uses it to his benefit. Genius. I wonder how many calculations he does in his head at once.
Perhaps white could go Nb5. The bishop on a3 would be attack 2 times. It cannot retreat becasue of the pin on the queen. Also if the queen moves Nxc7 is a fork.
Because then Carlsen's bishop still infiltrates the position and picks up the g and h pawns. Nc3 was an attempt to block the bishop. But both moves are losing.
What was going to happen if baadur move the Knight to c5 on 7:45 making bishop and the pawn on his aim, if the bishop move back, then, move c4 pawn to c5 (check) magnus may move king to b2 while aiming on the pawn, (if the pawn don't move, the Knight take it, but it still have the chance of the bishop stills on the pawn guard if move bishop to f8) or the knight just moves around and tries to take care about those other pawns? (I'm new on chess, pls can you guys help me whit this question? My english is ain't that good too.)
At 8:57 What if, Baadur played Knight B4 Check, and Carlsen moved king to C5 to attack knight. and then Baadur plays knight D3, forking the bishop and check to king, and then in next move, Carlsen's Bishop is captured.
Can someone please explain why he couldn't take the bishop? I know the commentator said but I still don't understand because he said the pawn would just move forward so I don't get how that would put him in a bad spot
think about it.. if white captures the bishop with the king, then after the pawn moves to a2 what can stop it from queening on the next move? the knight on b1 doesn’t have a way of controlling the a1 square and because the king captured the bishop on b4, it cannot reach a1 in 3 moves so black will get a queen

If you are talking about 1:02, modi g bishop pair is not good idea as black already doesn't have good paan structure. Losing bishop pair is even worse at this level against such players.
7:58 Perhaps if Jobava had opted to shuttle his king back and forth between b3 and c4 (rather than trying to capture the a-pawn with Nb1), he could have held the draw? At first glance it's hard to see how Black can penetrate with the king guarding the entry points.
jovaba had him too. just made a few mistakes in the end like allowing the bishop to get in the position to eliminate the anchoring pawn. i dont understand why jovaba didnt place his king on a3 to block the pawn
It actually tells the score. If both King is placed at black squares, black wins, vice versa for white. If draw, white is placed at white and black at black

9:36 white hourse d5 ?
at the end why didn’t he just take the pawn w his knight? If Magnus takes his knight then they trade & most likely stalemate
