Oh my gosh.. those lamps are fabulous!!! Sooooo many wonderful things he's collected over time. Loved the tour.. Wow and he's from SC.. I'm living there now 🙂
So affirming. Everything he said about well-made vintage items, resisting fast fashion consequently, quilts as art, applying our own interpretations to mainstream-published titles of our imagery. So glad to know someone like Warren is being a careful steward of these treasures.
I love this video!! I especially love the piece around that Howard University trunk that is such an exquisite piece of history. I graduated from HBCU Johnson C Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I’m now motivated to find some type of old artifact from the university so I can display it in my home. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow Trevor! great finds. I really enjoyed this video. If you can take a trip to Lambertville, NJ and lots of folks do this. It's like a mecca for what you love. I'm an artist and have experienced major hoteliers and collectors from New York coming to buy my work. The prices are affordable for treasures and it's very eclectic and a real artist town. You will love it. They also have a massive flea market on Sundays just on the outskirts of town that there's great buys to be had. It's called the Golden Nugget Flea Market. The stores and galleries in town are fantastically good. There's many New York City people living there that commute back and forth for work. I love the knowledge learned and developing that great eye and you are right in that it's not about how much something costs to be great. You can have it all if you have a good eye and understand your connection to it. If you buy what you love, then you win in all ways. I love what you say about trends and forget trends and be your genuine self. You do that and I do too.
Not only that the cameraman/person was awful. It was out of focus or failed to zoom in when necessary. I hope this was a trail run bc the concept was cool.
Love how he talks about these treasures. I would be buying everything in that shop 😂
I❤such history new old history 👑🌹
So many wonderful items. The jacket is a great piece...sonia his out he has on. The jeans the shirt even the belt!
Trevon Warren's taste is exquisite. So many beautiful treasures. Whenever I do visit New York, I would love to go to his store.
The quilt reminded me of a short story by Alice Walker called "Everyday Things."

My former colleague, Sandra Benjamin Hannibal, is a well known quilter and is based in SC. She nurtured my appreciation for quilting.

So refreshing to see a black designer who is not obsessed with the color purple!
Still waiting to find one who isn’t gay

Volume levels are off

Where's the sound???
Very nice store I wish u would have scanned the store more instead of showing certain items.
I can't hear anything he said. :(
Great content but work on your audio and focus more on detailing visuals of the objects instead of the person talking.
Awww i I clicked on this video because the thumbnail was so wholesome and cute, but yikes to the audio.
