YES! We moved to Zim in 1999 I was in grade 3 and they sold the freezits on the cart outside school in the summer. It taste way better than the modern stuff.

The cream soda Mazoe is good with sparkling water. It tastes close to the real thing

I love that you added Sadza in there! Cooked too. I was all for niknaks, Mazowe Orange crush and new discovery the Crunchy cookies baked by Proton the bread company (Ramba Waraira) in my recent trip.
P.S. for anyone who doesn't get a chance to eat Sadza in country or the borwoers sausages.. SA airways serves this as a dinner beef option on flights :-) just sayin, lol

Unfortunately Mazoe orange always gave me a funny aftertaste and would thicken around my throat, so it was never a fave. I preferred Oros....Mazoe cream soda and rasberry heck yeah!!

I didn't grow up in Zim but some food I had maputi, borewors, cream soda cerevita, mangos etc good stuff
l love all the foods you said exsept for mahewu and maputi

Shame! I live in England and we can buy these products here, but they are really expensive. I bought some biltong last week Thursday. Delicious!!!! I also bought Jupiters, Cheezies and mahewu (is that how you spell it?)
I am now in South Africa and we can get Mazoe, the world's best orange squash. Also Cheeky Chilli the world's best chilli sauce.

Mixed grill with chips & salad for 7/6d ( 1970) , chocolate cake in Barbours - 50c. Ploughmans Platter in Leopard Hills Hotel 30c and Colcom Pork pies 10c , also 1970 , fillet steak roll in the disco under the cinema in Salisbury 50c. wish I had a time machine.

If you can fly over to England you can buy yourself most of these things in certain shops that sell Him and South African products though it's a bit expensive.

Can somebody help me out? I wanted the name of the chocolate coated coconut candy bar made by Rossmans? It was in a pink wrapper and the bar was slim and short. You always found these at your school tuck shops in Zim (for me back in the early 90s).

I miss mangoes too. I've never had a single mango that tastes anywhere near as wonderful and sweet as my Aim ones since I came to England. Even our avocados were the best.
