I used to work for Alber with Lanvin and it is so bitter sweet because I know so many people who love the brand and like the clothes, but still wont support it because of the loyalty they have and had to Alber. That just speaks to his strength and brilliance as a designer. This can be cool but it will never be the same. We won't forget what that horrible owner did to our dear Alber. 😘😘😘😘 love him forever.

Balmain Menswear F/W 2020.
With my limited fashion knowledge, I would say that, while some pieces could be worn by women, nothing seemed feminine at all. The neon-coloured suits and coats were amazing. I even liked the shoes! It was like being transported to the future. Excellent staging, music and models!
I'm saddened that I'm 30 years too old and 40 pounds to carry it off.
But, there was a time when I would have rocked this.
The clothes were incredible and very expensive-looking!
I'm still talking about Balmain...oops!

Many of the men's coats were superb as well as many of the women's dresses. I was a bit confused, because most of the women's dresses looked more like spring/summer attire though.
Those dresses are perfect for some areas of the U.S. The winter temperatures can be in the 40s and 50s and in a few days later it's 70s and 80s. It's like that were I live in the Southern region of the U.S.
Love the whole global vibe of this collection.

The 20/21 FW season for most of the houses seem to be oversized cuts and frankly a test as to what the market will buy. I have seen dozens of new shows featuring the oversized cutting of coats/jackets/mens pants etc....I think these houses arent sure whether to really push this cutting style or ????.......The wrong thing is that they are not clear on whats "new" and accentuates the body of the wearer or should they go back to a more form fitting aesthetic but would have to create a "new:" and creative way to show it....This new season is all over the map w/many decisions of how to proceed to the next few seasons!!!
Stick to "classics" that fit your physique and proportions. Real style is always timeless. Trends are trends. Don't be fooled into this consumerist cycle.
I follow no one house/style..ever.
You can feel the confused consciousness of society in the collections. It's all very interesting, but no one seems to be nailing where we're going next and that's life by in large now.
