The lady at the end of the video running across the audience seats really sold the show for me. Best model on the runway for sure. Really quite literally ran outside of the box. 1.0

This definitely has a different feel from when Alexander was the creative director, however this gives a new perception of a McQueen brand. The ‘classic office’ costumes are beautiful, an exact definition of “wearable designer clothes” when it’s unique enough to stand out and look original but doesn’t make you look over-the-top or even hideous like some other brands which may look appropriate on the runway but ridiculous in real life. Great cut, beautiful fabric, again very stylish and wearable especially for those who’s not afraid to make a statement with their outfit.
Hmm I actually think this actually goes back to McQueen’s DNA which is tailoring. He started out as a men’s tailor!!!

I found it safe, reductive, boring and very pedestrian for those who don't want to think about what to buy or what to wear. And where the CD did go out on a limb, things like that thick ropy silver brocade is simply put together in the most unappealing way. The aubergine leather trench, from the front, really nice, well cut, gorgeous lines and leather and then it has this back wimple cape thing that makes her look like the Barneyback of Notre Dame. I think those recut suits with the tailor's construction stiches (I think that's what they were referencing) were really nicely cut and the pin striping done this way is interesting but ultimately lost in the precison and banality of the white repeated line. The dark almost black red velvets and other fabrics are obviously gorgeous but the whole thing left me bored to tears.
@@brineferry7032 yes, that's the part where he's no longer creative director and we have to go back to Lee's archive (yes, the stuctural components of fashion are not fkn DNA stop that nonsense, its patterns, sketches, cuts, frocks in boxes and other ephemera), there is no measure whereby these things have self organized and are being selected for in a process that is innate to fashion. Lee's DNA disappeared with him and he did not have children, although some of his creations might be mistaken for offspring, so incredibly breathtaking they were. There's also the obvious "semen all over the studio" implication which in some studios is no doubt true but...

McQueen never fails to deliver! Modern tailoring, current yet futuristic, wearable, hint of sexy goth, beautiful textures, cuts & shapes that makes the eyes pop! Their presentation is always a standout for me!

Sarah Burton is doing an awe inspiring job at the helm of Alexander McQueen. Impeccable, immaculate and razor sharp tailoring! These are the clothes executed to the most refined collection. The colour pallet consisted of black, white, red and purple clothes decibel perfected and delivered! Some grey here and there too! What is so ingenious is there at the heart of the collection is Lee Alexander McQueen’s tortured soul in the form of the psychological / psychiatric ink block prints! This is a collection that goes over and above all expectations! I also hope it appeases The McQueen Queens who have been so vocal and damming of Sarah Burton in the past! She has truly delivered this time! A stunning orgasmic collection! I love you Sarah! Bravo!

@@nightskylights4501 There were overrought prom dresses, bias cut overdriven messes, a Barneyback of Notre Dame, the tinfoil rope wrapping cage mess dress, the why borrow a detail from the McQueen archive if you are going to apply it in such a banal way the suit tried to walk off the runway in shame, and so on. This designer should be banned from metallics and shiny stuff she does deep and wrong,.

This Sara Burton collection is better than her earlier ones. Gorgeous suits and gowns with some weirder exception esp styling. Limited color and fabric choices but elegant and impeccably cut. Still missing Alexander McQueen, though.

This was a fantastic collection. The careful attention to details with exquisite design and construction was spot on. I also loved the use of color throughout the show. I'm obsessed with the purple leather trench coat and gloves...bravo!!!😆😆😁

The men's wear was a bit extreme in some cases, however it was consistent with the overall collection and gave a nod to the late designer's avant-garde signature look.
Most of the designs were so tailored that the denim might have been better for another show.
These outfits certainly made a statement. I only wish the women would wear makeup since it completes the entire look.
I'll be the one who calls out the emperor: this show was strange. The clothing was cumbersome, dreary, both over the top and under-whelming. It fought with male and female silhouettes and lost. The footwear looked ill-fitting and uninspired. Some outfits were just simply silly. A very disappointing collection.

The fashions are stunning, the men weighing less than the already super thin women, not so much.
VILLAIN ERA! what a collection. while i dont love all of it, there is a dark strong sinister overall vibe to it as a whole. the folded leather, the futuristic sillouettes, the jewelry and hair!, the seriousness of it all lends itself to Big Bad Guy Energy. What i would have really liked is a STEADY camera angle on the models at the end so i can see each piece with the final walk. Instead we got an artsy take with overhead shots and side shots but not really FULL BODY sustained so we can see all the pieces. This whole show, music + lighting included, really lent itself to a board meeting where the villains and villanesses were going to make plans. Also, big big props for the plus size model (but why arent there more) and the trans models and actually making big attempts to step outside conventional runway rules.
