Just wanted to say thank you for the overflow of nostalgia. Might seem like an odd thing to some, watching old commercials, but it's really like opening a time capsule and remembering what was popular when you were growing up. Thanks for what must be a lot of hard work finding and editing these. Hope you have a very happy holiday season!
I love these old tv ads.
I can still smell the plastic from the VHS covers
I remember when my family got The Addams Family and Wayne's World from McDonald's when I was a kid.
I need to know more about the guy who terrorizes the neighborhood in that 60 minutes promo.
This is my favorite compilation video yet! Great Job!!
I remember getting the movie Ghost on VHS for 7$ at McDonald's back in the early 90s when the sold movies. and I still have the old Beauty and the Beast VHS and some of the hand puppets I had the clock one. Oh one more thing I still to this day Have the BK Aladdin magic cup it has not been used for a long time.
I got that Babes In Toyland VHS,during that promotion.
Beef it's what's for dinner 🥩
I had the Belle hand puppet and most of those Cabbage Patch Kids McDonalds toys when I was little. I don't think we ever got any VHS tapes from McDonalds, though.
Every woman I knew as a child that was over 30 had a bottle of Exclamation
7:00 A commercial about nostalgia on a youtube channel that posts old commercials for nostalgia. The channel has become self-aware!
McD's also just did a 'nostalgia' happy meal promo where they brought back a bunch of old toys from when these things were new lol
Omg it’s the guy from my big fat Greek wedding in Northern Exposure! 😲
It's also the guy from Sex And The City and for a moment I thought he had sideburns but that was just his cheek bones 😆
Eyewitness News - they should have said "you're welcome" at the end.
You weren't kidding when you said MacGyver got really dark after his series wrapped up!
Ah, "Raven." It was set in Hawaii and I don't know how long it lasted but it was short-lived. Lee Majors was almost unrecognizable.
Raven-the 90s version of NBC's Stingray
Murder She Wrote-Jessica vs"Killer Klaus"
Through The Eyes Of A Killer-Marg better call the CSI team to stop Macgyver
Multi-Grain Cheerios-the slogan so nice, the announcer said it twice
27 years ago? I was only 11! Lol
I was only 3.
7:01 Nostalgia? Never heard of it. Can't imagine the things people must do to get some of it, though.
Yes, this "nostalgia" is a foreign concept to me as well...*Goes back to playing Nintendo and Super Nintendo.*
Kind of unusual to see both Pizza Hut and Burger King promoting different Disney films. I seem to remember BK having a deal with Disney at the time, with McDonald's grabbing the promotional rights later in the 90s. I guess Pizza Hut had a deal with Beauty and the Beast the previous year when it was in theaters, and it carried over.
Disney didn't seem to have any sort of exclusivity agreement at the time with any one fast food chain. Burger King made toys for BatB's theatrical release the year prior: i.imgur.com/a5Rb2VQ.jpg This was just for the VHS release.
