I have that same plow on my 1957 John Deere 320. I usually run the disc harrows over it after with a heavy timber dragging along to smooth it all out perfectly.

Hi, do you know where I can buy a Piston for Ford 1700 tractor?
    Thank You

Which piston? Engine? 3 point lift cylinder? Loader cylinder? I'll assume engine, and you may be out of luck there. You can try your local New Holland dealer, or try calling Messicks in Pennsylvania. Another options is a tractor junkyard. I get stuff from Long Lane Tractor in Pennsylvania sometimes and have it shipped to me. They specialize in some of the old Fords.

A well produced video. What width is your plow? I'd guess 16" width.

It’s a John Deere 411 plow. I believe the bottom is 14”; though the 411 can be equipped with other bottom sizes. A 14” or 16” plow works well with the rear tread width on the Ford 1700.

Can the 1700 pull a 2 plow? I'm looking at buying the same tractor.

@@relevation0 I think this is a 14 inch or 16 inch single and it’s no problem. Two 12 inch bottom is probably fine. Kinda depends on how deep you want to plow and if you have ballast (loaded tires and wheel weights) and plan to use 4wd. I lose traction before power in almost all applications. Otherwise, the 4wd 1700 is very comparable to an 8N in terms of weight and power. Pretty much the same PTO power, and about 3hp less than an 8N at the drawbar. Check out TractorData or the Nebraska test results. I load the loader bucket with rocks that pop out as I plow, and the extra weight and 4wd eliminates any slippage once the bucket fills.
