This sounds nice for the clients but how does it work for the actual workers. How does it benefit someone if you have to take time and use of gas and mileage to drive to pick up and drop off the load of laundry, buy detergents, plastic bags, take hours doing the laundry and folding while using your own machines, and dealing with the increase in your own electric and water bills. How can a worker make any real money here? 🤔
Hi hello laundry pro here from 2 years and it can be beneficial if you do it right. Detergents, bags are really inexpensive so it’s such a small cost on the bigger scale. Gas I usually don’t spend more than $5-$10 pickup and drop off because I keep my radius at 15-20 miles. The “take hours” portion of your comment is really not what it seems. I throw a load in the washer and then just go about my day until the next cycles. You’re not like standing in front of your washer all day lol folding takes like 10 min per load so there’s A LOT of down time. Also the electric bill isn’t that much of an increase and my apartment pays the water lol. I recoup about 70% of all my orders. The main thing that will make or break you financially with the gig is your area you live in. I lived in LA and Cleveland. Both being busy enough to profit.
Have used the service every month without any issues. Cost less than doing laundry at facility and less time than driving to a laundry mat for price of gas in So. CA is very high now. Also comes back folded and neat. Recommending today to neighbor and they are handicapped disabled who NEED the service as well. COST are minimal for quality service as time is costly for workers or even for the disabled and elderly. GREAT business but try it today and find out yourself.
Don't use this service. They charge more for insurance but do not offer any resolutions for the items they return back damaged. My laundry was returned itchy and crunchy and they waited 5 days before offering to charge me again to get it done again.
