Recently had a health scare where I almost died twice, I knew God had mercy on me because if he really wanted to take me he would have but no I'm still here. I believe he has big plans for me and wants me to spread the word. I grew up in the church and had loved Jesus before but the past 3 years I turned my back on him, I didn't want to listen, I didn't want to believe...I lived a crazy life with crazy beliefs the past couple years but now God has my attention. The first time in a while I opened my bible to Psalms and cried my eyes out because I know he wants me to be better through him and I do want to live for him. Praise God for he loves us so.
Sadie Brooke biggest mistake is turning your back , I did it and it leads to destruction. If you almost died than , learn to watch for the signs of were and when he wants you to talk. Remember God and Jesus. He won't forget us.

I to almost died about 2 and a half years ago. It was a bad thing. I turned to God, and then looked away. But I need God in my life more now than I ever have, or should I say I want God now more than I ever have. Not that I'm doing bad things and stuff like that. But just cause I was at peace when I was in the word. And now I just feel lost, like empty. I ask that you guys pray for me please, I wanna walk in faith.

It was the perfect house in a perfect location. I prayed hard but it wasn't looking good. Just when we were about to start looking for another house, God intervened and we got the house! a friend invited me to play with his church band on easter sunday 2017, i had never heard the hillsong version of this song, unrehearst i played along with them seemingly like id played it before, with goosebumps and tears falling from my eyes i then realized that the savior was right there, undeniable in his grace,

tedd hires, yes Gods grace and His mercy are amazing. Few people truly experience the presence in the way you have. I still have certain songs, this one especially, that bring me totally into the presence of God. I make it a point daily when I’m home, alone during the morning mainly, to just put on my worship music and sing, pray and just cry out to God. It’s vital to have that personal, one on one relationship with God. I’m grateful that when you questioned your faith, that your friend invited you. It wasn’t by accident that chance to play was there for you. Never let your faith or your joy for God come into question, or waiver. Play that music daily to keep that connection, in the times we are experiencing in this present day, it’s vital. God bless you, and stay safe.

I have heard this song several times over the last few years. Having recently lost a parent who loved the ocean, all of a sudden this song has a very different powerful meaning. Thank you.
Diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer more than 6 years ago, after all the surgery and chemo years later, I lost everything and lived to see all my treasures revealed to be a worthless pile of junk. My family left me and when I thought there was nothing left I found Jesus, this song helped break me through, and see the riches that were mine all along and am truly Happy for the first time.( If not broke, alone, and in pain alot of the time.)

The irony is that I still believe in Jesus Christ. Just none of the rest of what Christianity is selling. Why? The church and it's beliefs almost killed me. Literally. I almost ended up in a 6 foot hole in the ground because I followed those fools. The church and it's leadership, the clergy, turned the life of Christ into the edifice upon which they would build the largest religion in world history. And it chews people up better than any other philosophy, except perhaps marxism. Christ came to show us the fruit of living a religious life. He did it perfectly, according to Christians, and the leaders of his religion crucified him for it. If you were somehow able to truly worship Christ, to live as your Bible demands, they would crucify you as well.

You don't need to be a true believer to feel the "weight" of the song. I am roman Catholic by parents choice, not the best one by the rules and books, but... I believe in something powerful standing besides me. This song made me believe that I am not alone, that I am loved and strong. That there is pure love in humanity, unity and compassion. We are just captives of our mundane situations, backgrounds and duties .. compassion and love to each other is the key, no matter religion, race or beliefs. Everyone wants to be loved and appreciated. We are just cowards living between the walls we built becoming senseless, greedy and stubborn, even cold and heartbroken, too afraid to admit, that neither social status, nor money can fill the void of our souls.

My dad used to play this song all the time, every single day and every single night, when he couldn't sleep and had anxiety. This was his comfort song and he loved it so much. He passed away from colon cancer stage 4 on 12/03/22. We played this song at his funeral and i play it everytime, even though it hits me hard and i cry my eyes out, when i miss him, think about him, deal with anxiety and want to feel him with me. When i hear this song randomly out of no-where, i like to think its him saying "hey, im still here. Dont forget about me." I also NEVER used to hear this song on the radio until after he passed away. ❤❤

I read a book a month ago I couldn't put down, was in tears through most of it called "captive in Iran" by Maryam rostompour. Best book I've read in my life outside of the Bible. As a Muslim you will be able to relate to the woman and their story. I could not believe what goes on in Iran but these brave souls loved and loved and loved. It shows the power of love over hate.
