I read 1-3 storys of The Crater a day and really enjoyed all the different bits and pieces this book had to offer. Really looking forward to hearing your thoughts about it :) thanks for putting me on the tezuka train, I really love his Manga 👍

Last year I had an almost complete set of Phoenix, but sold them because 9-10 is just too hard to find. Hopefully Black Jack and Phoenix get reprinted in our lifetimes 😭🙏

I reading list was so long with a lot of Tezuka's works were originally published in the US, I missed a lot of volumes. For a long time you could find OG Adolf volumes in the $1 bin. Until one day you couldn't.
Yeah the OG Galaxy Express was printed early in the US as comic books Captain Harlock and is very hard to find although nearly worthless. Luckily I believe they printed newer collected volumes so you can pay double digits.
Glad you enjoyed Barbara it's one of my favorite Tezuka's also. Fun fact about Under the Air only the version bought directly from the Platinum Manga site has nudity on the cover. The version sold in stores and Amazon for example has a black bar printed on the cover blocking it out.
Yeah their Tezuka books are available at Barnes & Noble and similar stores when they come out. They just don't reprint their series very much so once they sell out of the few copies they get I don't think they get more. @@ThePromG
I feel that. 2024 I'm setting a goal of reading 50% or higher of my collection. Start of 2024 to the end and if I don't meet that goal i'm selling off my whole collection.
@@ThePromG Depends on collection size. For example if that was my collection, you and I put together couldn't read it all in a year even if we read 10 volumes a day each.

This is awesome. I have all these in my collection also... to be read in hopefully the not-too-distant-future. My "Under the air" has a horizontal black bar censoring the nips on the cover. Its a April 2017 first edition. Sounds like you got lucky and your printing didnt have the censoring. Great content. Excitied to dive into my own!
Is $50 considered expensive for a volume? I payed more than that to get the missing 2 volumes of Hybrid Heart (an ecchi manga haha), I payed $50 for vol 2 & $65 for vol 3, plus $30 for shipping on each one haha. They’re the 2 most expensive volumes I’ve payed for. $186 for 2 volumes that should have cost $26.

Since you read alot of Osamu Tezuka work , would you like to made some best top 10 manga of Osamu Tezuka
I plan on either doing this or a full ranking of all his English printed series (which is like 30 series lmao)
But the problem now is you have absolutely nothing to read, gonna have to start stocking up some manga.
I plan to focus on re-reads in 2024, like Berserk and Blade of the Immortal. I’ll probably upload more arc/series reviews

I think I’m only at around 50% of my manga, I usually only manage 1-3 volumes per night.

Ah so that was you. It is expensive but price is determined by supply and demand. I bought my volumes as they came out so they were "cheap" for me.
