Oh no sounds like you had all the classic issues possible haha, which makes sense. Low miles and not driven much by the previous owner is a big red flag. These cars need to be driven regularly and quite hard to keep the engine oil circulating properly I wouldn’t touch one with less than 80,000 miles. Also that water leak is extremely concerning have you checked the control unit that sits under the passenger seat? If that’s sat in water and corrodes that’s serious repair job and has to be done by a professional. Also worth mentioning did you check what caused the drip trays to be punctures? It’s usually a faulty roof arm
Ah yes the joys of owning a 986...air/oil separator, drain holes, micro switches, refurbishing the headlights, and my favourite foam pieces blown out from the heater vents which happens to all owners it's only a matter of time it will happen to you . Simple fix to remove the head unit and replace with new strips of foam on the mixing doors deep inside the dash after you cut the throat.
I bought a 2003 2.7 boxster on August 31 of this year at 17. I worked so hard for the car but it is a blast to drive. Definitely a great move.
Well done mate! Enjoy it, they’re fantastic

When we took the seats out there was no water in the ACU’s little cubby so I got lucky there
You didn’t even get into maintenance costs. But owning a Porsche is worth it!!!
I did get into the maintenance, just what I have had todo to it over 6 months
Nice with an aero kit!
Hi, what kind of insurance do you have if I might ask? I’m planning on buying one next year (from the Netherlands) and just wondering

I thought the foam out of the vents was an issue on the later cars? any chance to know if that has been done ?
Does being 19 years old make the fixes more expensive? Asking for a mate
I’d ask your mate
That shirt's too large on you.
If that’s your only criticism, I’ll take that 😂
