Never heard of a Canon Lever Suspension before, but I can tell that made your truck handle even better, of which, I didn't think it was possible.

Cantilever. Cantilever suspension systems use a pivoting arm, known as the cantilever arm or bellcrank, to extend the travel of the shock absorbers and springs while keeping the overall design compact. Samson was known for being one of the only trucks to continue using this setup for years.
