About Jackson:
Jackson began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines-highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. From metal’s chart-topping peaks to its darkest recesses, for discerning guitarists all over the globe, Jackson is the only way to go.

So sad RIP Oli. You are one of a kind. Breaks my heart.
One of my favorite riffers ever. RIP Oli. We miss you
Now who'll say: What's up this is Oli from All That Remains.? 😪😔 RIP OLI my one of the biggest influences. 💔
Oli had such beautiful hair, man. For real though, one of my biggest influences on guitar and we all will certainly miss you, Oli. RIP buddy, you'll get justice for your death.
Fucking wish..
U r ryt brother we will miss him badly,he inspired me to play this kind of genre,,i play jazz, blues, bossa nova, progressive, djent etc but after i got into his music for some reason i start liking to play this type....though i know all those jazz, progressive r abit complicated...
I often come back to olis videos. I’ve never really had “favorite” guitarists. There’s always something to learn from all of them. But oli would be up there with randy Rhoads. As a kid randy was what drove my obsession into guitar. Oli was the guy that made me want to learn every aspect of it. 30 years on this rock, 24 playing the strings…. And oli still remains indefinitely my biggest influence. In my humble opinion… oli was on the same path as a musician as randy. We can only imagine the player he’d be today. I’m honored I got to see him live so many times. The “for we are many” anniversary tour reigns #1 for me. I waited in line for 3 hours just to be the first in the venue. Jean came out and gave me a bright red sweater from their merch. Admittedly I had not realized who she was at the time. Asked me if I had a specific track from the album I was eager to hear. All I remember saying is “I’m just here to oli shred some of my favorite solos” next thing I know… Mike and oli kicking the door open and offering hand warmers to the few of us waiting in the freezing cold hours before the show. I could hardly speak. Later that night, I had not moved from the rail in front of oli…. He hopped down after the solo to “keepers of the fellow man” and handed me the pic he used during what is arguably one of my favorite solos in existence. I have that pic locked away. I played with it a hand full of times. It was my pic of destiny as a young adult. I can’t count how many times I lost that pic thinking it was gone forever…. It would always miraculously show up days, weeks, even months later. The day oli past, I put that sweater and pic away. To one day be buried or burned with them to take them into…. Either the afterlife…. Or nothingness. Moments in time, even if I’m nothing when I die… I’ll always have the memento from the guy who kept me playing my whole life. And also the memory the greatest live performance I’ve yet to experience. Thank you oli 🙏🏽
And a big thanks to the whole band as well. You’ve remained on the top of my list since the first hardcore/metalcore show I witnessed. To the… fuck probably hundreds of shows I’ve attended over the years. And a big thank you to Jason Richardson 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️ I have a feeling the next album will feel like oli is there. But with that Richardson insanity. I hope they hold on to Richardson. Although at first I was highly skeptical. Afraid jason would come in quick and change the bands vibe up. I enjoy the few recent releases… but realize I was wrong to judge so quick. Jason has kept the highest respect for the pieces oli put out. And probably the only guitarist today that can play them on par…. If not better live than oli 🙈😂 jason is the perfect fit for this band I’m betting. Well…. Only without oli. I have a feeling the next album will be up there with my favorite atr albums. (For we are many/the fall of ideals/a war you cannot win) not that I don’t enjoy all of the newest albums… the reminder they bring that my favorite guitarist is gone is still hard to swallow. Again, oli 🙏🏽 thank you. I’m absolutely humbled I got to share a moment in time with you.
This comment is embarrassing for myself 😂 I’m a little hammered trying to remember all the old riffs and solos I had down as a teen. Younger me would play circles around me today.
@@ryanrowland5909I feel this. I always mention Oil in my favs. Huge influence on me as a fan and a musician. Blows my mind he’s gone 😢
Got to hang out with him in 2015 at rockfest. He was badass.
R.I.P Dude 🤘
I love that warrior.
I remember when I was taking lessons from Oli in 2011, I told him that Chris Broderick left Ibanez and joined Jackson, since apparently they weren't going to make him a signature model. Oli just went silent and seemed to ponder that for a few seconds, and then we went back to work on rehearsing. Months later, he comes in and brings in his beautiful new Jackson and, finally in 2017, he got his long deserved signature model.
You are still missed, maestro.
Rest in peace Oli
Very underrated dude. Rip
Miss you oli rest in peace
Jackson is king. it's all I play. just wish the EMGs where in every one of them standard..
oh god what a nightmare. fuck active pickups, they're so dull. No overtones.
Yeah emgs are terrible
Emg 81 is the best metal pick up of all time imho.
one fare just iconic dude not best, because it’s personal. Well I have 2 guitars wEMG pups I love them but I have a jackson warrior with Fishmans and they are great for death metal and that kind a stuff
Jackson, please make this a signature guitar for him!
This needs to be a production signature series!!
Still waiting for this @jacksonguitarsofficial
Great tone from this dude!
Oli its one of my biggest influences as the other ones are Chuck Schuldiner, Robb Flynn and Dimebag Darrell. his guitar its beautifull. he's one of the few guitarrist that still has a kick-ass looking guitar in nowdays metal scene
Oil Herbert signature series!!!!! It needs to happen!!!!
I don't know about why Oli switched but Chris Broderick said specifically that when he switched to Jackson he was amazed about how they would do or try anything, he didn't say Ibanez but he said his previous company (which we all know was Ibanez) just wouldn't do certain things he asked for
I think that's also why John Petrucci switched to Music Man. I had heard that Ibanez wouldn't make him a signature 7 string.
I've got a Jackson Kelly. My favorite guitar. Now lets get the oli signature. With 27 frets Jackson! Oli is probably my favorite guitarist, only because what he said about randy rhoads.
That is a badass Jackson. I love what he said about RR and how he, with a Jackson, set the bar on how to approach music and song writing. I had the Jackson Warrior (the cheap import model) and I didn't care for it. Perhaps with some upgrades I would have, but I would definately buy this USA version. And one volume is all you need for metal. Really, all you need is one pickup as well, but we'll save that for another day \m/
I only collect signature instruments from deceased musicians. This jackson warrior will make an excellent edition to my collection.
Help me out guys! I got a King V, got a Rhoads, and i got a Kelly. Do i have to buy a Warrior? The Warrior has been haunting me since i saw Trey Asagthoth played it, and saw it on Metal Mike, now Oli Herbert. Revocation's guitarist plays it too. It looks bad ass! Jackson Is In My Blood! So what do you think?
+duboyduboy Yeah, why would you not? I still need an Explorer-shaped guitar somewhere to go in my metal guitar collection. All the rest of my guitars are metal. I only have one Fender Strat that stands out as a bluesy-looking guitar. lol
+isnowyazn Yeah, your're right! why should i not! Bought the warrior now, the one similar to metal mike's. The black with white bevels. Thanks! Keep it Metal !!!
Oli looks like Rollo from Vikings.
Oh Jesus plays guitar so much!
RIP
Jackson, every other comment on this video is asking for that Warrior as a sig., don't mess this up!!
I don't even like their new music, but I'd go bankrupt for that goddamn guitar.
Tate Anderson jackson just released a x series that is almost identical
RIP Oli
Please, do the same video with Corey Beaulieu !!!
#justiceforOli
So Oli Can I have your old Ibanez? Please?
because jackson guitars fell good to the hands and made for leads and ibanez is a copy of jackson neck but i think ibanez or good guitars :)
TAKE MY MONEY
What's with all these shredders switching from Ibanez to Jackson?
looks and sounds like john petrucci
Santa Claus is in da house
a few years ago wasnt he with ibanez and had a xiphos that looked pretty much the same? also like that is one bitchin looking warrior, js lol
Oli look like John petrucci
F
He betrayed Ibanez
Fuck Ibanez
Jerome Malphas Fuck you
Martin Orsingher no fuck you.
Jackson is better
Jackson is better especially in metal
His Ibanez custom is way nicer
No tone knob, LOL. Save $5, make the guitar worthless for most genres....
