There is no fucking way. I had such a bad experience with Yharon. 10/100 enjoyment, which is the worst enjoyment rating I’ve ever given in a video game. To think the bullshit get hit by random shit after 6 minutes of mindless dashing phase was made harder by the fucking pretty light mod I have.
not just nowadays, Calamity was the one that added those structures like Vernal Pass, Big Hive, and Forsaken Archives in the 1st place. They were always in base Calamity since they were added. Infernum also just uses some future Cal plans like CV on the wall of the Forsaken Archives, SW wondering the sky islands in the sky, Yharon's revive coming back in his rework, Abyss having an eco system, Exo Mech combo attacks, and a place for profaned stuff in the form of the temple.

If u feeling quirky and want to play thorium with calamity, theres an unnoficial calamity and thorium bard and healer class support mod that adds progression to those classes for calamity and thorium. And it has many other features
Just gonna let everyone know, if you’re playing with High FPS Support, pretty much all the add on calamity mods will DESTROY your FPS. Not a big deal probably if you’re locked to 60, but Catalyst and Wrath of Gods (along with their libraries) completely destroy performance even when nothing related to the mod is happening
I'm shocked that the Goozma fight isn't as popular as the nameless deity, considering that it's design was made by one of the main artists that left the team a few years ago, IbanPlay. Essentially, this means this is what Goozma would actually look like, design wise if it was ever implemented to normal Calamity. (Though I'm also a massive fan boy of IbanPlay's work so that might have something to do with my shock)
Magic Storage, boss checklist, recipe browser, and alchemist npc lite are the greatest terraria mods ever made I cant imagine playing a modded play through without them
Catalyst also has the Auric Tesla Armor+, which is really just the regular armor but with a resprite and more defense, but no one ever seems to talk about it.
Yeah, I hate how nobody says anything about it. Like, there isn't even a wiki page for it or anything, it just goes straight to the normal auric tesla armor one. And also, it's basically a cheat for the addon superbosses because, as far as I've used it, it doesn't take damage without having armor break
Yep I used the armor for the first time on my calamity zenith playthrough. I really like the design though it is bulkier than the original Tesla armor.
I'd also personally add the Fargo's Extras mod as well. This adds Fargo's experience to Calamity. This includes bosses (I think I haven't tried) and more importantly, the crafting tree. So have fun fighting Nameless Deity with the Soul of Eternity. But I have to warn you, this combo will definitely make your PC explode as the Soul of Eternity is already a PC stress test, so you can probably assume what this does when fighting the Nameless Latency.
i have like 50 mods installed and a sizeable portion of those are big content mods. to put it into perspective, the npc list has over 120 characters and the game is unplayable if you turn on frameskipping. thanks for the video, i was just thinking that the game wasn’t struggling enough already
A note for infernum: Generate your world THEN enable infernum, as sometimes it can mess with sulfuric sea/abyss generation and cause no chests or terminus to spawn
Yeah and Infernum has a specific area for the profaned guardians and providence so if that doesn’t spawn in your basically screwed unless you turn off the Infernum difficulty. While yes the Infernum abyss does most of the time destroy the chests (not much you can do about that except for fishing ig), the terminus is linked to the eidolon worm and is not contained in a chest in the void. It’s implanted at the bottom of the void. Mining it activates the eidolon worm fight. It’ll give you the terminus after beating it.
Goozma was the original concept of the first of the two superbosses of Calamity, alongside Xeroc. It was designed as the true final form of the Slime God and an expy of Ozma, but it was eventually changed to Noxus, who is more associated with the yet-unexplored Distortion dimension. Similarly, the Nameless is based on an older concept of Xeroc.
You should be aware that a lot of the bosses from these add-ons currently have problems in multiplayer. From recent experience: Hunt of the Old God - Completely non-functional in multiplayer; other players won't even see Goozma spawn. Wrath of the Gods - I've heard it reported that Nameless Deity isn't playable in multiplayer. Yet to try it. Some sync issues with some of the other content it adds. Catalyst - Works great. Would recommend. Infernum - Technically playable in multiplayer, but many late game bosses have problems ranging from mild to severe. Chat messages doubled, phase transitions not working right or firing way too early, their animations outside of fights like SW hunting harpies often didn't work right, and bosses with a lot of bullets often cause latency issues and/or end up scattered inconsistently. The subworld for the sand shark boss failed to load unless the stars were perfectly aligned, and then failed to send us back afterward. SupCal seemed to enrage whenever the host was dead and one-shot everyone else. Sepulcher and DoG often spawned as just heads without bodies. Can't really recommend in multiplayer. Fargo - Functional, and there's even a new iteration of the DLC add-on that gives it Calamity support, with Rogue souls and balance changes. Some of the bosses are quick to despawn if one player is more than a couple screens away when the other dies, and the content doesn't quite mesh well with Calamity, but it works for the most part. We weren't able to get the Abominationn to spawn, but it was fine in previous playthroughs, so I'm gonna guess that's another mod breaking something. If you use any or all of these in a multiplayer run, I'd recommend bringing a cheat menu mod just in case you need to hack your way past something.
1 month old, but I just wanted to point out for you guys that Calamity Overhaul makes Skeletron Prime bugged on Infernum. It just spawns normal Skeletron Prime instead of Infernum version. Not a big deal, just turn off Overhaul and turn on after you defeat SP.

Just in case you didn't know you don't need to download calam whips mod and calam flamethrowers mod because it combines them into catalyst, just to keep your mods at a lower count.
Gotta love the QoL there. I remember when the Calam Whips Unofficial was its own thing, it added a config to let you alter the damage of whips just in case a patch or difficulty update made it really hard (For a while Minion weapons dealt 25% less dps or something if you used a melee, ranged or magic weapon, so having the backup was great). The final whip slings literal planets at enemies, and each planet has a different behaviour, so pretty good.
@@enzoln8826 Unlimited mana is already possible before you even beat moonlord this just removes the negative of having "unlimited" mana because the normal way of having unlimited mana was just being stack with mana potions and using the accessory that automatically use them when needed with the only downside being magic attacks do less damage for a few seconds
@@enzoln8826 Unlimited mana isn't cheaty. Yeah, you can craft it early, but it's weakest version will cut your magic damage by a decent part (if not half) until you upgrade it with materials you get later in progression.
Yeah unlimited mana is not cheating at all keep telling yourself that. Almost every qol involves some cheating but it's a single player game so there's nothing wrong with admitting it
A good UI mod that's helpful if you're going for a summoner or any other class with summons is the Summoner UI mod. The mod will show you the number of minion slots you have.

Ranking all the mods (my opinion, play the game how you like) 1. Calamity infernum - great difficulty and boss graphic, overall a must have 2. Magic storage - super useful and balance unlike most QOL mods 3. Unofficial calamity whips - some of the whips are broken, but whips are what makes summoner as actual class 4. Hunt of the old god - cool summoning methods and attacks 5. Wrath of the god - amazing graphics, but I’m not a big fan of super bosses 6. Calamity catalyst - good, but don’t like it as a super boss 7. Calamity overhaul- pretty good, some weapons are kinda worse imo 8. Better caves - improves caves, but doesn’t make them feel alien 9. Directional melee - useful when using swords 10.boss checklist - good for mods with lots of bosses 11.Boss cursor - useful for fast bosses 12. RecipeBrowser - useful 13. Remnants mod - structures don’t feel terraria like enough for me 14.the depths, good, but adding more enemies to hell would have probably been better 15.lights and shadows - vanity 16. Calamity Vanities - vanity 17. WeaponOut - vanity 18. Ore excavator - just saves time 19. Fargo’s soul mod - bosses are cool, but I don’t like QOL mods and the bosses don’t feel like they fit in calamity. 20. AlchemistNPClite - eh, I think terraria should fix potion crafting to make it easier to get them in bulk, but buying the ingredients isn’t a very creative way to do it. 21. PointsShop - replaces fun items with mob grinding 22. LuiAFK - some things it’s add are insanely broken, terraria is grindy but is not all about the boss fights 23. Quicker respawn time - basically cheating

correction: placing platform rows is from OreExcavator and not fargo's mutant mod. also you dont need shorter respawn time, since in calamity, if a boss isnt alive, it makes your respawn time 3 sec. i also dont like lights and shows with calamity since it makes the providence projectiles in the hallow really hard to see. Also my favorite qol mod is cheat sheet/hero's mod so i can get stuff like lumenyl without going to the abyss and get magic storage before i do anything to cut on the grinding, also i do skip most of the early mining.
The only down side with a few of these as they get a bit... broken if you play them in Multi-player. Like me and my buddy tried Catalyst and Infernum and some bosses just fundamentally broke in MP to where they either didn't work or were unkillable.
Late reply, but Infernum is meant to be played singleplayer. A lot of the stuff that the mod adds just doesn't work with multiple people, as well as some of the boss AIs just bugging completely

I don't know why all these mods lately have somehow become split to where they work in SP but if you try and do MP it just breaks the game at a basic level. The thing about remnants is that while it adds better world gen it makes stuff like the astral chest just not spawn would not reccomend i just want calamity do redo world gen thats already present and update the abyss it would be much better than having to download a mod to do that also when elemental weapons resprite? We already got one for the terra ones

I really miss the OG Ancients Awakened mod. It's being rebuilt now, but before its complete collapse it had some really fresh ideas and great vibes.

7. Calamity overhaul- pretty good, some weapons are kinda worse imo
8. Better caves - improves caves, but doesn’t make them feel alien
9. Directional melee - useful when using swords
10.boss checklist - good for mods with lots of bosses

13. Remnants mod - structures don’t feel terraria like enough for me

20. AlchemistNPClite - eh, I think terraria should fix potion crafting to make it easier to get them in bulk, but buying the ingredients isn’t a very creative way to do it.
21. PointsShop - replaces fun items with mob grinding
22. LuiAFK - some things it’s add are insanely broken, terraria is grindy but is not all about the boss fights
23. Quicker respawn time - basically cheating

Unofficial calamity whips was integrated into catalyst, so there’s not really a point in using it, as it’s no longer updated.
Personally, I’m also a big fan of the Clamity add on, it’s a pretty fun joke-ish mod, but the bosses it adds are actually surprisingly challenging!

A mod that goes very well with Calamity is called "Cheat sheet". It heavily enhances the experience and makes the gameplay way less tedious!

correction: placing platform rows is from OreExcavator and not fargo's mutant mod.
also you dont need shorter respawn time, since in calamity, if a boss isnt alive, it makes your respawn time 3 sec. i also dont like lights and shows with calamity since it makes the providence projectiles in the hallow really hard to see. Also my favorite qol mod is cheat sheet/hero's mod so i can get stuff like lumenyl without going to the abyss and get magic storage before i do anything to cut on the grinding, also i do skip most of the early mining.

The only down side with a few of these as they get a bit... broken if you play them in Multi-player. Like me and my buddy tried Catalyst and Infernum and some bosses just fundamentally broke in MP to where they either didn't work or were unkillable.
Late reply, but Infernum is meant to be played singleplayer. A lot of the stuff that the mod adds just doesn't work with multiple people, as well as some of the boss AIs just bugging completely

I don't know why all these mods lately have somehow become split to where they work in SP but if you try and do MP it just breaks the game at a basic level. Used to be you would just have to have all the same mods and wouldn't have issues >_>
And considering the number of people doing Infernum multiplayer videos, you'd think someone somewhere would fix those issues.

A great mod is Angler Shop it basically deletes any need to do angler quests
The thing about remnants is that while it adds better world gen it makes stuff like the astral chest just not spawn would not reccomend i just want calamity do redo world gen thats already present and update the abyss it would be much better than having to download a mod to do that also when elemental weapons resprite? We already got one for the terra ones

Unofficial Whips actually got merged into Catalyst.
Remnants mod is compatible with Calamity and Thorium now.
When I made a few different worlds the sunken sea didn't spawn at all so i don't think calamity is 100% compatible
