Great video... Really useful video. Please explain where you go the value to get rid of the weak ciphers. It seemed to pop out of nowhere on the browser... thanks.
I don''t understand what you mean by "Advertised" B1 and B2 can be directly connected using a public IP address or they can be connected into a DMZ using a private IP address that a public IP address is translated to (NAT) this is why it is important to also enter the public IP address along side the private IP so the SDP header can be rewritten to avoid NAT issues. I hope that answers your question.
Hi Guru, I need you help to configure AVAYA SBC 8.1 for redirect setup. I could not achive it. Invite is sending again to redirect server which causes looping

@@orangetamilprotocol There is a setting on the interworking profile that might help you, NATing for 301/302 Redirection. You can try mess around with that, but it's hard for me to give a proper answer without seeing a sip trace.
@@avayaguru6679 Thanks for the reply. I am using SBC v 8.1.1 which does not have the option 'NATing for 301/302 Redirection'. This feature is introduced in 8.1.2 and for remote worker config concept. Hi Avaya Guru, do you happen to know anything about WE (Workforce Engagement) that is one of the most complicated installations I have faced with. Would be good to know if you know anything about this or WFOS.
Hey Yael! Greetings from the UK. I need to do a video on this at some stage in the future. You are indeed correct. it is one of the most complicated installs and I have only installed 2 of them. one at 15.2 and the other at 20. It is a very fussy install. the OS has to be properly prepared with every little detail. one thing missed out can lead to you having to do it all over again.
@@avayaguru6679 Thanks for the reply! waiting on it for days lol. Still trying to get this installed for 2 weeks now, any chance you could guide me a little? $ Your videos have been of great help!
The A's are on the same network. At 4:50is you say they are different because Avaya don't support on the same network?? - I'm confused.
No Ax needs to ge on a different network to M1 because Avaya don’t support M1 and A1/2 on the same vlan.

I have one ems and 4 sbc’s. When you upgrade the ems does it take the sbc’s out of service?
Hi Joey, nah it doesn’t taken them out of service if you do the EMS.
Thanks Guru. Would you recommend upgrading using the gui or using cli?
@@Joeyhump I almost always use the CLI. Far more reliable and in most cases quicker too.
Thanks guru. I appreciate your advice and your videos are great.

Hi Avaya Guru, please can you teach how to connect asterisk to b1
Why not connect directly to session manager? That way you don’t use any of your standard sip trunk licences.
