Such a beautiful video - thank you for sharing it !! I love your emotional reaction ... I felt the same way when we witnessed Orcas at Bere Point last August !! God's majestic creatures :)
Amazing! How did you find out they were the A42s? I thought Northern Residents didn’t come this far South (the boundary is usually Seymour Narrows). I saw a pod of transients (the T123s) off September Morn in May 2020 that looked very similar.
So cool!!! These were identified for me by MERS and confirmed by others- and now having seen the pod several times I'm learning some of their key ID traits (Current's hooked dorsal, Sonora's saddle patch, for example). They visited Bowen again this year almost exactly 1-year to the day from the 2021 encounter, and were here for almost 2 weeks! :)
So happy for you!! They are such majestic creatures. We've had 2 visits this week but not that close!! :)
Utterly surreal! I am so happy for you to have had this chance! Inspirational and moving - and I know your art will reflect this encounter!
For me there is nothing more beautiful and amazing on this planet than orcas. I'd be super emotional the day I get to see them too.
So happy to see the A42's!! Thanks for sharing!
Looking healthy too 🙂

Wow! I live on Bowen, was this hood point?? Amazing thanks!
Hi Dustin! This was filmed at Cape Roger Curtis (that’s Worlcombe and Pasley Islands in the background) :)
@@art_by_di Thanks! Here in Bluewater, I can hear them from my back yard at night... I wish I could see them up close on my kayak sometime...
Lucky you - what an experience
