The way you immediately agree with the Buce being ugly( smart thinking, I'm learning a lot again) and take it out instantly, well done. Lol. Much appreciated to see you take it the profi way at home, makes the hobby more real and accessible. Thanks Balazs
Great video Balazas, Thank you for sharing! An idea for blocking out the light is to get some sheet metal, maybe pre-painted steel or plain galvanised or aluminised steel or even stainless steel but that will cost $$$ as it's heaps more expensive than plain sheet metal.. The pre painted sheet metal in Australia is known as Colorbond and comes in lots of colours. If you go to a roofing supplier or sheet metal workshop they often have scraps of strip they throw out. You want something 0.55mm thick. To fold it to your tank dimensions they may charge a few dollars, but shouldn't be more than that or they are ripping you off. To fold 90 degree angles, you can do it yourself with a piece of timber and something like a concrete step. Search you tube and you should find plenty of DIY tips on folding sheet metal. Good luck!
@@GreenAquaShop Hi Balaz, when you open the tap at suction side of the hose, what is the pull force that will suck out the water to the other side of the hose? I understand the tap at the toilet end is open from the start, right? I think I'm missing something. Does closing and opening the tap from suction side of the hose can trigger the gravitation pull? Apologies for lack in understanding.
@@GreenAquaShop You can also put 1 or 2 ml in a cup and water it down a little bit before you use it. Will still clear algae but is less aggressive for plants/fish (and if needed, you can treat a larger area then, too)
Thank you so much for inviting us all over to your home again to see how you care for your own nano setup! I love the pre-filled drainage hose with the double taps. So much simpler to use than a siphon hose with hand pump. I also have the same 45-P and Twinstar light setup and am looking forward to any and all future adventures you have with your home setup! Assuming we’re all invited over again later. :)
If you don’t mind me asking, do you have the timers set up the same way for your home tank as those at work? Cardboard is a very available and low-cost solution to lighting at home for sure. I’m also considering making an enclosure to block ambient light. My nano sits on a stand on the eastern wall so I would construct a case that I can hang a blackout fabric onto. It would almost look similar to a puppet show booth you can see at carnivals or street show. Still looking through other options as well.
Well, we are home at night, so co2 on at noon, lights on at 3pm, everything off at 11pm. Yeah, I think I'll go with a metal plate, an L-shape to cover the tank.
Timers to match time at home is very logical. Wish my daily schedule was consistent enough to do that too. Metal? Welding/fabricating a removable shade sounds like a lot of fun! Looking forward to that video!
There are many of us who only have the space and/or budget for nano tanks like the 60-P or smaller. All the issues you have and solve with your home setup are probably shared with all of us new aquascapers. The aquarium journey is especially tough for the beginners and your videos, resources and links have been amazingly helpful to getting me started at looking into solutions for our nano cube garden. If algae problems can arise from ambient light due to how we live in our homes and your unique shade creation fixes that problem... even if you don’t do a whole video I’m sure I and many others would love to see the finished shade photo and how it works out for you. Did I mention the layout was beautiful? Already inspired to re-scape or start another (maybe slightly larger) cube garden! I’ll have to check and see if I can legally collect petrified wood on a hike this spring! (Washington state) Thanks again for the great videos and insight. Always looking forward to Green Aqua content. Wish your shirts were available overseas, especially the mother/fckn/nature one ;)

The percent of good water vs bad water depends on the water that comes from your tap. My father has extremely hard water with a ph in the upper 8’s, so he only gets 25% water to 75% waste.
it does not depend on the water hardness, but it depends on the type of the RO filter and a lot depends on the pressure of the water - I forgot to mention this.
Many good information for planted tank maintenance in one video. But I did not see the details of powder that you pour into the r\o water, after water change. Many thanx for the video and guidance for us.
You should do a video on trimming, more specifically rotalas. Maybe show how you trim Felipe's tank. When should you chop them to the ground and replant?
I have a feeling that your tank would be ok with ambient light.also it good to see people from an other country other than American, canada, uk or Japan. I would like you to feature more local aquascapers from your home country and thanks for speaking English

But yeah, we have other European and Asian aquascapers on the channel. This is an international hobby, we have many friends all over the world really - with whom we talk on a regular basis.
Blackout curtains / my patented Houdini hood 😃 light weight wire frame top sits on top of your twinstar curtains drape over tank, and when done collapses into itself easy! Curtains affixed to frame via iron on hem tape or stitching could delegate that task😋

Quite useful for blocking light while taking picture too 😁 The light/co2 timer is such a crucial information, I'm glad i found it out from your early tutorial, again very useful information for beginner like me. Keep on posting! Cheers!
Thanks for the idea, I know what you mean. Good idea! Thanks for the comment and glad you found this video useful.
@@GreenAquaShop So Im sure this problem has already been solved but if not, a BBQ cover.... They make a lot of different tall rectangular designs that are weather proof.
Thanks for such amazing videos. Love u team green aqua.😊😊👍👍💖
Thanks for the kind feedback and for the support.
@@GreenAquaShop you're most welcome 😊😊
Love the nano tank its prefect for most people. 💖💖
Yeah, but it's not very stable, I would go above like 60 cm for most tanks.
Thanks for the video
Small tank and big maintenance.
Yeah! Sometimes it needs to be done.
Awesome Videos 👌😁
Cheers, thanks so much!
Hi Guys! Im just started watching your channels. I have to say you doing very good job! All video nice made and very helpful😁👍 keep going guys I cant wait for more👌
Cheers, thanks for watching!
Im just about to set up my 30l tank for Crystal Shrimps.. I would love to make nice landscapes but I'm worried about rocks will changed the parameters of weather. I can see on this video you got large piece's of rock and crystal shimps. Can you give me any advice how to do this safe? Thanks👍
It all depends on the type of the rocks. We try to use the onese that don't change the GH too much.
Great tip to use the electric toothbrush! I'm sad your wife doesn't like buce... they are my favorite.
Very Good!!! Nice Video.
Thanks so much!
Great maintenance session vid 😃
Thanks Sam!
I love this so much! But wonder can't you just turn on the CO2 earlier so the morning lights and ambient lights don't disturb anything?
I learn a lot from your video's. Thank you GreenAqua!
That is cool to read. You are welcome!
I love the tanks great job keep it up
I was wondering what was that u add to the tank
After changing the water on minute( 15:07)
Thank You by the video!
Very helpfull for me and my aquarium!
Cheers!
Magical maintenance
Cheers Steve! Hopefully, you'll be able to see it when you come to Budapest, will invite you for breakfast or something.
Aww its so beautiful little tank. 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks so much! It progresses nicely, fortunately. Might do updates on it later too.
Stunning. Thank you very much.
Glad you like the video. 👍😁
Electric toothbrush... brilliant. I have one of those and never thought about using it for my tank!
As long as you don't need to use it yourself later, it's fine. But cleaning the rocks is much easier with it, yeah.
Another awesome video. Thanx
You're welcome, thanks for the nice feedback!
Many good information for planted tank maintenance in one video. But I did not see the details of powder that you pour into the r\o water, after water change.
Many thanx for the video and guidance for us.
We pour in Green Aqua GH plus, or GH/KH plus.
love this video more with the whole aqua green family !!!!
Cheers!
Galaxy Rasbora's the best fishs ^^ thanks for RO system info ^^
You're welcome, glad you like the tank and the video.
Sei un grande ! Meravigliosi uno più dall altro per me sei il discendente di amano (e per favore continua sempre con i sotto titoli in italiano)
Thanks for the kind comment, yes, we will continue with the auto subtitles, and try to add them to the old videos with time too.
Love this channel 💞
That is cool! Thanks for the support!
You should do a video on trimming, more specifically rotalas. Maybe show how you trim Felipe's tank. When should you chop them to the ground and replant?
We've got quite a few videos on Rotala trimming, even the triangular tank maintenance video is like that. And Jurijs's trimming video, etc.
I have a feeling that your tank would be ok with ambient light.also it good to see people from an other country other than American, canada, uk or Japan. I would like you to feature more local aquascapers from your home country and thanks for speaking English
You're too nice! Well, we try to feature more Hungarians, but most of them do not speak English. We try to avoid subs if possible. But yeah, we have other European and Asian aquascapers on the channel. This is an international hobby, we have many friends all over the world really - with whom we talk on a regular basis.
Shrimps and fish together seems work. Lucky you.
Yepp, it is a very good ecosystem. Thanks to the good tech.
Mr you show the coolest .everything's .that goes in to making a good Tank .Video
Thanks Richard, I really like my home tank still, it's a treat, really.
Guys, this is really nice video 😉
Thanks Sergey!
Blackout curtains / my patented Houdini hood 😃 light weight wire frame top sits on top of your twinstar curtains drape over tank, and when done collapses into itself easy!
Curtains affixed to frame via iron on hem tape or stitching could delegate that task😋
Good idea :)
The ro system twisted my mind
Yeah James, it's important to have good water and a tech that enables you to change the water quickly.
